When did you beco a Moon Worshiper?

Wei Yue answered without a mont’s hesitation: "On the very first day of the apocalypse, I received the call of the Blood Moon while unconscious and beca a Moon Worshiper."

Lin Qi nodded. If this timing was accurate and this was a widespread phenonon, then the official intelligence from Dragon Country was correct.

This wasn’t so evil cult that existed before the apocalypse, but rather Extraordinary Professionals who appeared along with it.

Yes, in Lin Qi’s eyes, Moon Worshipers were a type of Extraordinary Profession.

’They possess the sa Extraordinary Power and can enter the profession through a specific thod. If that’s not an Extraordinary Profession, what is?’

Lin Qi continued his questioning.

How does one beco a Moon Worshiper?

How are Extraordinary Items like the Moon Gypsum Statues made?

What is the goal of the Moon Worshipers?

As he asked his questions, Lin Qi no longer cared if his identity would be exposed, or if this gang of Moon Worshipers would discover he wasn’t any Blood Moon Envoy at all.

In any case, they had already left the vicinity of the Tier Three Monster. Even if they got any other ideas, Lin Qi could use force to control them.

But to Lin Qi’s surprise, Wei Yue, the leader of this group of Moon Worshipers, showed no suspicion whatsoever and answered all of his questions one after another.

The thod to beco a Moon Worshiper was actually very simple: swallow no fewer than ten Crimson Crystal Stones at once, then stare directly at the Blood Moon.

If one could hear whispers and experience the hallucination of the Blood Moon opening its eye, then it ant the transformation was successful.

If one’s body couldn’t withstand the power of the ten Crimson Crystal Stones and exploded before hearing the whispers, then they would die.

This was also why, after all of Wei Yue’s hard work, there were only seven Moon Worshipers in Beining District.

As for Wei Yue herself, she had not beco a Moon Worshiper through this thod.

In Wei Yue’s own words, her inspiration was very high. As it happened, when the apocalypse descended, she was heartbroken over a recent breakup and staring wistfully at the Moon.

As a result, when the Blood Moon first awoke, she instantly beca a Moon Worshiper and could hear its whispers with even greater clarity.

Everything about the Moon Worshipers, including the thods for creating Extraordinary Items, all ca from the Blood Moon’s whispers.

"The Blood Moon brings a lot of knowledge." Those were Wei Yue’s exact words.

When it ca to Extraordinary Items, however, Wei Yue had a hard ti explaining the underlying principles.

She only knew how to create Blood Moon Descent Objects and had no knowledge of other Extraordinary Items.

The thod for creating a Blood Moon Descent Object was not difficult.

You just needed to place a Moon Gypsum Statue under the Blood Moon, letting it bathe in the moonlight for an entire night. The statue would then gain a certain quality.

Once it possessed this quality, its material was then converted into Extraordinary Materials, and the Moon Gypsum Statue beca a semi-finished product.

Finally, the most crucial step: infuse the surface of the semi-finished product with the blood of a living creature, and the Moon Gypsum Statue would naturally beco an Extraordinary Item.

Hearing this process, Lin Qi frowned slightly.

The entire process was difficult to explain with any theory, because it more closely resembled a ritual.

’How does the quality that defines an Extraordinary Item co into being?’

’And what’s the purpose of the final blood infusion?’

Lin Qi couldn’t explain it from a scientific perspective.

But the Extraordinary, by its very nature, doesn’t abide by science. It can even disregard certain universally accepted fundantal laws.

Unable to glean a universal thod for creating Extraordinary Items from this, Lin Qi could only set the matter aside for now.

He moved on to the final question: what was the goal of the Moon Worshipers.

As Wei Yue spoke of this, she grew increasingly agitated. "Of course, it is to welco the descent of the great Blood Moon, to truly awaken it, to make its gaze fall upon the earth forever! We will beco Blood Moon Envoys and exist for all eternity alongside it!"

"May the Blood Moon hang high, drawing all living beings to it."

As she finished speaking, Wei Yue was like a devout follower, singing praises to the Blood Moon.

After saying everything, Wei Yue fell silent, her head bowed, waiting for Lin Qi’s next command.

Lin Qi thought for a mont. "I’ll take you to a new base, but you must hide your identities. From this mont on, you have no Extraordinary Power. You’re just ordinary survivors I found in a residential building on the outskirts of Beining District."

Lin Qi didn’t know if he was making the right decision, but the "whispers" Wei Yue had ntioned intrigued him.

’To think that those whispers actually contained knowledge of the Extraordinary Side.’

’This knowledge most likely really did co from the Blood Moon in the sky.’

To Lin Qi, knowledge of the Extraordinary Side was extrely valuable.

Whether in the Cyber World or the Doomsday World, Wei Yue and her band of Moon Worshipers were currently Lin Qi’s only channel for acquiring more Extraordinary knowledge.

’I’ll take them back to the camp and keep them under house arrest.’

’And I’ll have Wei Yue report any new knowledge of the Extraordinary Side she hears imdiately.’

Lin Qi could see it now. Wei Yue, the most senior of the Moon Worshipers, seed absolutely obedient to him.

The root of this obedience seed to be his Spiritual Power—the unique Spiritual Power of a Wizard.

"Yes, My Lord!"

Wei Yue didn’t hesitate in the slightest.

A command from the Blood Moon Envoy was a creed Wei Yue was bound to obey.

This wasn’t based on rational thought, but absolute obedience on a spiritual level, like a steel brand from which she could never break free.

And so, Lin Qi, with the seven Moon Worshipers in tow, began the journey back to the Mo University Camp.

Along the way, Lin Qi no longer needed to run parkour across the rooftops.

The Moon Worshipers unleashed their power, and the surrounding Zombies were completely unable to detect their presence, allowing Lin Qi to lead the group right past them.

...

「Mo University Camp, Club Activity Building, First Floor.」

Lin Qi returned with the group to find Wang Ziru already waiting for them.

"Wei Yue, tell Wang Ziru the locations of all the Moon Gypsum Statues—that is, the Blood Moon Descent Objects."

Lin Qi gave the command, and Wei Yue imdiately obeyed without any objection.

The other six, however, hesitated, and even seed to want to protest.

Lin Qi raised an eyebrow.

’The only reason I let these six Moon Worshipers live was because I was worried about upsetting Wei Yue. I couldn’t risk anything getting in the way of obtaining knowledge about the Extraordinary Side.’

’But if they dare to cause any trouble, I wouldn’t mind taking care of them for the officials at Hongshan Camp.’

"Shut up! Don’t defy the Blood... My Lord’s command!"

To their shock, Wei Yue slapped each one of them across the face.

Wang Ziru was stunned by the scene.

For so reason, a sense of crisis suddenly welled up inside Wang Ziru.

This feeling intensified when he got a good look at Wei Yue’s face.

She had the perfect influencer face, with skin so flawless it looked like it had a top-level beauty filter applied, but this was all natural.

’With looks like that and thods like those, my own position in the camp might be in danger now that she’s here.’

The six Moon Worshipers, having been slapped by Wei Yue, didn’t dare say another word. They could only obediently confess the locations where they had placed their Blood Moon Descent Objects.

Wang Ziru imdiately dispatched a team to take action.

Then, Lin Qi said to Wang Ziru, "House them in another building, and assign two squads to watch them. Don’t let them leave the designated area without permission."

The sense of crisis in Wang Ziru’s heart faded, replaced by confusion.

’House arrest?’

’Just who are these people?’
