The situation had surpassed Wu Peihe’s expectations. He had never imagined the Mo University Camp could actually produce sothing as technologically advanced as a cha.
Even though he had personally seen the Exoskeleton and Electromagnetic Firearms Ding Yang brought back to the camp, he still believed those weapons were likely just part of Modu University’s peaceti stockpile.
"Coach Wu, what do we do now? Continue the mission? Or return to Hongshan Camp?"
The driver was from the Hongshan Camp, and he hadn’t wanted to disobey Ding Yang’s orders.
However, this Coach Wu was from Headquarters and carried official orders with him.
In other words, when it ca to dealing with the Tier Three Monster, the man from Headquarters had command authority over Ding Yang.
Wu Peihe gazed intently at Lin Qi’s M-Class cha.
’I still don’t believe he can handle the Tier Three Monster.’
After a few seconds of thought, Wu Peihe stood up from the passenger seat and shouted toward the cha, "I’m going to watch you work. If anything goes wrong, I’ll detonate the nuke imdiately."
Wu Peihe had made his decision.
Faced with the M-Class cha, Wu Peihe did not want a direct confrontation with Lin Qi.
Although he didn’t believe Lin Qi could eliminate the Tier Three Aggregated Monster, he also knew that their one jeep and four rifles were no match for Lin Qi’s cha.
A confrontation would be the most foolish course of action.

Inside the cha, Lin Qi was also thinking.

He turned the cha and waved.
Wu Peihe sat back down, his expression grim, but he still motioned for the driver to follow.
"Coach Wu, those Mo University students are impressive. Maybe their weapon really can take care of the monster," the driver said, trying to reassure Wu Peihe as he drove.
He had witnessed the changes at the Hongshan Camp over the past few days with his own eyes.
The casualty rate for the Hongshan Rescue Team had plumted, and his brothers-in-arms felt an ever-increasing sense of security.
If at all possible, he didn’t want to see Wu Peihe clash with the Mo University Camp.
"Impressive? That’s only because they’ve never seen a Tier Three, let alone a Tier Four Monster."
Wu Peihe didn’t believe in being "impressive"; he only believed in the data he had seen at Headquarters.
A single Tier Four Monster possessed the power to destroy a city with ease.

But now, the vast majority of missiles were no longer functional.
All humanity could rely on now were conventional weapons, or bombers flying by sight, dropping bombs on pure instinct.
But against a Tier Four Monster, the flight altitude of a modern fighter jet was not safe.
After a long, complicated silence, Wu Peihe spoke again. "Be prepared to manually detonate the nuke in an instant. Prepare to sacrifice yourselves for the Dragon Country."
Wu Peihe’s motives were not complicated; he had no intention of clashing with Lin Qi, either.
From the very beginning, his only goal had been to eliminate the Tier Three Aggregated Monster and prevent the fall of Modu.
Up ahead in the cha, Lin Qi overheard this exchange, and so of the displeasure in his heart subsided.
A man like Wu Peihe might have a grating personality, but his objective was ultimately pure.
Lin Qi shook his head. He continued to pilot the cha toward the Tier Three Monster’s location while keeping an eye on the occupants of the vehicle.
"That Tier Three Aggregated Monster... it’s in a special state right now, isn’t it?"
Lin Qi asked Wei Yue.
The reason he’d brought Wei Yue along was to get more detailed intelligence and minimize any potential trouble during the operation.
Wei Yue replied imdiately, "Yes. Under the influence of the Blood Moon Descent Object, the Tier Three Aggregated Monster is undergoing a period of slumber and tamorphosis."
"The monster currently looks like a ball of flesh, but that’s just a state similar to forming a cocoon."
"Once the tamorphosis is complete, the monster will ascend to Tier Four. At the sa ti, it will draw the attention of the Blood Moon, and a high-grade Blood Moon Trait will manifest in the Beining District."
