The description in the company email wasn’t very clear, and it was very likely that Liu Weicai hadn’t contacted Elder Dong.

The mont he stepped out of the apartnt building’s main entrance, his access was revoked.
Even if he forgot sothing and wanted to go back and get it, he couldn’t.
Fortunately, Lin Qi didn’t have many belongings in the apartnt, mostly just clothes and toiletries.

Following the vehicle’s navigation, Lin Qi successfully arrived at the H4 Skyscraper.

It was run by the Liu Clan—45 Credit Points an hour, which was basically highway robbery.
Arriving at the base of the H4 Skyscraper, Lin Qi saw a familiar face.
It wasn’t Liu Xuan, but a completely refreshed and energetic Dong Wenlong.
Elder Dong looked like a new man, as if ready to embrace a new job, not even caring about the year-long vacation he was supposed to have.
Lin Qi walked up beside Elder Dong. Elder Dong was still staring at the main entrance of the H4 Skyscraper and didn’t notice his arrival.
"Elder Dong, good morning," Lin Qi greeted him.
"Good morning."
Elder Dong seed to be in a good mood.
But then, as if in a daze, he seed to realize sothing.
He whipped his head around to look at Lin Qi as if he’d seen a ghost.
His eyes went wide, pupils shaking, and he raised an arm, his voice trembling, "You... you... you..."
"Are you a damn ghost that won’t go away?"
Elder Dong was in disbelief. The mont he received the email yesterday, he had looked it up: United Pharmaceutical was a brand-new enterprise.
Logically speaking, an A-level Researcher like Lin Qi, who was being specially cultivated and had connections, would never be sent out of the company.
But now, here Lin Qi was, standing right in front of him.
A pleading look appeared in Dong Wenlong’s eyes. "Quick, tell you’re here today to discuss a collaboration with United Pharmaceutical on behalf of the Liu Clan!"
Dong Wenlong was still clinging to a shred of hope.
Lin Qi just shook his head. "The company sold out. I’m here today to handle my onboarding with United Pharmaceutical Company."
There was nothing to hide.
Besides, it wasn’t just Lin Qi. Even Liu Weicai had co to United Pharmaceutical. He was probably still going to be his and Dong Wenlong’s supervisor.
Given Liu Weicai’s support for him, Dong Wenlong’s work assignnts probably wouldn’t change.
Dong Wenlong’s vision suddenly went a little dark.
But he quickly breathed a sigh of relief and shook his head. "That’s such a sha. You were one of the company’s most promising talents."
"Starting today, we’re new colleagues at a new company. I’m going to apply for a new research project and try to make a na for myself here!"
