Should he ask?
From within the shadows, Lin Qi stared at Guang Ling for a long ti.
In the end, Lin Qi pushed the thought aside for the ti being.
It wasn’t the right ti to ask too many questions about Spiritual Particles.
Guang Ling already knew far too much about him, and even though he was relatively trusting of them for now, there were limits.
But no matter what, Lin Qi always rembered one lesson his old man had taught him.
In the Cyber World, you can never fully trust anyone—not even your own father.
Lin Qi didn’t know if anyone else in the Cyber World was aware of Spiritual Particles, but they were the very foundation of Extraordinary Power.
Anyone who understood the fundantal link between Spiritual Particles and the growth of Extraordinary Power could easily guess the real reason behind Lin Qi’s unnaturally fast progress.
They would conclude that either Lin Qi had mastered so technology related to Spiritual Particles, or he had found an environnt with an exceptionally high concentration of them.
And Guang Ling, as it happened, could monitor all of his movents—except for his trips to the Doomsday World.
Telling Guang Ling about Spiritual Particles would be tantamount to exposing himself.
Lin Qi retracted his gaze and continued moving through the shadow-shrouded conference room.
"It seems no one has anything else to discuss. This impromptu eting is now over. I need to adjust the ti for our next eting; for now, let’s set it for March 23rd, 2089. eting too frequently could compromise the secrecy of this room, and I imagine none of you want your identities exposed to the cyber network’s surveillance."
At the end of the eting, Guang Ling rescheduled the next session. This was also another instance of Guang Ling demonstrating to the group that they weren’t truly omnipotent when it ca to the cyber network.
Lin Qi couldn’t tell if this was true or just an act on Guang Ling’s part.
In any case, no mber objected to Guang Ling’s decision. For every mber, this conference room—this rcenary Corps—was currently beneficial.
The mbers logged off one by one, and Lin Qi quickly exited the conference room as well. The scene before his eyes returned to reality.
Inside his Intelligent Brain, an email from Guang Ling lay quietly in his inbox. It contained basic intelligence on Ninghang Technology.
Instead of reading it right away, Lin Qi walked over to the sink and washed his face. Then, he reached out with his consciousness to his Sea of Consciousness.
The [Door] slowly opened, taking Lin Qi to the Doomsday World.
...
Doomsday World. In the conference room.
Lin Qi first changed into his Doomsday World clothes, then closed his eyes and began to ditate.
Barring any accidents, this was the first thing Lin Qi always did upon arriving in the Doomsday World.
He needed to raise his Extraordinary Power Level as quickly as possible. He wasn’t aiming for the sky, but he had to beco a Tier Three Wizard as soon as he could.
In both the Cyber World and the Doomsday World, Tier Three was a watershed mont, granting Lin Qi a strong ability to protect himself.
At ninety tis his initial ditation efficiency, his Spiritual Power grew rapidly.
A Wizard’s distinctive Spiritual Power flared out wantonly in an unobservable form, drawing ever closer to the bottleneck of the Third Stage of Tier Two.
There was a high probability he would reach the threshold today and advance to the Third Stage of Tier Two.
The only problem was that he currently only had one last Tier Two Extraordinary Item: the Crystal Stone from the amalgam monster, a gift from Ding Yang.
The monster’s Ability was Splitting. Lin Qi still felt this Ability was a poor fit for him, finding it difficult to combine effectively with his existing powers.
He opened his eyes, pausing his ditation.
He cleared his mind of distracting thoughts, so they wouldn’t affect his ditation efficiency.
He should wait until his Spiritual Power was sufficient before thinking about analyzing the Extraordinary Item. Worrying about it now was just borrowing trouble.
He didn’t know how long he had ditated, but he hadn’t yet reached his limit for the day.
Suddenly, the activity of the Spiritual Particles around him spiked. The overall increase wasn’t massive, but Lin Qi could clearly feel that it happened with extre speed.
In an instant, his ditation efficiency went from ninety tis the initial rate to a hundred tis.
The activity of the Spiritual Particles seed to have reached its limit, unable to increase any further.
It was as if even the slightest further increase would cause the Spiritual Particles to undergo a special change.
But that last sliver was a solid barrier, impossible to overco.
In addition to the change in the Spiritual Particles, Lin Qi’s Spiritual Power suddenly surged, reaching the threshold for the Third Stage of Tier Two.
He had to analyze an Extraordinary Item, or his Spiritual Power would be unable to increase any further.
"I have a strange feeling, but I can’t put my finger on what it is..."
Opening his eyes and stopping his ditation, Lin Qi’s expression turned puzzled.
He activated his Spiritual Vision, sensing his surroundings carefully.
He didn’t sense anything out of the ordinary, yet a strange feeling continued to linger in his mind.
It felt like he was being watched, but it was completely different from the usual sensation of being stared at.
Lin Qi barely had to think about the cause of all these changes.
It had to be the work of the Dragon Country’s official Headquarters—the effect of the so-called first-class rit that Ding Yang had promised.
Lin Qi had no doubt that even if he hadn’t earned any previous rits, this first-class rit alone would have been enough to push the activity of the Spiritual Particles to its absolute limit.
The power of this first-class rit was far beyond Lin Qi’s imagination.
He carefully analyzed the special sensation enveloping him, but after mulling it over, he still couldn’t figure it out.
"I may not know what this special feeling is, but soone else should."
Ding Yang might know what was going on.
Ever since their first eting, Ding Yang had seed knowledgeable about the rits granted by the officials.
