"Hah!"
Everyone watching the 3D holographic image subconsciously gasped, hearts thundering.
The sounds of their heartbeats lasted for a split second before soone shouted, his voice rough.
"W-what the hell?! Is that a person??"
Everyone finally snapped out of the shock and the third patrol also zood out the vision, showing the full view.
In the 3D holographic image, a young man dressed in casual clothes and shoes sat leisurely on top of the spider queen’s head.
His body swayed slightly with the spider queen’s movent, looking lax.
The image of soone riding a gigantic spider queen as if riding a motorcycle prickled everyone’s tight nerves.
So it’s a beast tar?? Not a wild monster attack??
Knowing that it was a fellow awakener, the hunters beca bolder and subconsciously cursed,
"What’s that prick doing, showing off his tad beast??"
"Doesn’t he know it’s forbidden to ride a monster into the city??"
It was then the third patrol guard’s telescope zood in on Lucien’s face.
The mont Lucien’s face showed up in the air, the guards and the hunters collectively paused.
Huh. Wait.
That face—
Everyone’s mind flashed with two bounty posters plastered everywhere in the city and spreading far and wide on the internet.
Everyone’s eyes widened in disbelief.
"Isn’t he that— that wanted guy??"
"Ah! The one the Poison Ring Guild was searching for??"
He dares to co back? And with such a fuss??
Knowing Lucien’s identity, everyone scoffed, their previous disbelief turned into malice.
A hunter jeered, his tone mocking as he pretended to wag a tail.
"Hey, that’s the guy running away with his tail tucked!"
"Hah! How dare he co back? The Poison Ring Guild will tear him to pieces!"
"Where did he get that spider? A proxy? Huh. I kinda want that mount too~ "
At the last hunter’s words, greed slowly filled the hunters eyes and a commotion spread through the patrol guards as well.
"If we catch him.."
"Bounty money..."
By now, Lucien was already twenty ters away from the barrier.
The captain of the patrol guard, a familiar face, shouted through the speaker, his voice echoing far and wide.
"Halt!"
But Lucien ignored him and the spider queen continued to walk slowly.
Seeing this, the people at the entrance growled anxiously, shouting and yelling,
"Guards! Shot that criminal!"
"Ah, don’t kill the spider, it’s a good mount!" Soone spoke mockingly and another jeered,
"Hehehe! Yes! Spare the spider!"
"Kill! Kill!"
Zingggg.
The guards’ cannons simultaneously pointed at Lucien, the tal glinted coldly under the sunlight.
"Halt! Get down! Or we shoot!"
The captain shouted on top of his lungs, his voice confident.
Lucien still didn’t stop.
If anything, he subtly let the spider queen move to the side, exposing the huge carcass hidden behind the queen’s body.
The hunters and patrol guards keenly caught the dust stirring behind the spider queen and soone shouted,
"Wait! Behind the monster, there is..."
The 3D holographic image zood in on the thing covered by a thick cloud of dust behind the spider and a scene ca into view.
A gigantic, long body covered in a gleaming shell was dragged helplessly.
Its huge body left a deep scratching mark on the ground, sending another cloud of dust into the air.
"What...?"
As the image zood in closer to the gigantic long figure— four-petal teeth flashed by.
A four-petal...teeth?
The hunters paused.
Their minds flashed with the image of a ferocious beast once recorded in other regions, exactly the sa four-petal teeth, black gleaming shell and that elongated shape.
But that monster...
A hunter subconsciously whispered, his voice drifted to everyone’s ears.
"The...Death Zone?"
The hunters flinched at the words "Death Zone" and they imdiately went into an uproar.
"What did you say? The death zone? That’s just a worm! At most a bigger worm!"
"Maybe a boss monster from a random F-rank dungeon."
The uneasy hunters tried to dismiss the first hunter’s words but the third patrol guard who was looking at the worm directly with the telescope, swallowed his saliva.
"I-it is really from the death zone.."
And not just the famous thumper or digger.
"I-it is...the worm boss monster."
That dungeon— is at least an E-rank.
The hunters who heard the patrol guards’ leaked voices paused.
They stared at the four-petaled teeth, their feverish mind slowly cooled down.
"Ahahaha. T-there’s no way, right? There’s no news from the expedition team either, haha..."
Even the captain wiped his sweat, his mind spinning.
Did this guy hunt the monster alone?
No, maybe the expedition team helped—
Wait. The death zone was blocked. How did this guy enter the death zone??
Mysteries kept piling.
The unknown situation made the hunters’ reign in their greed over the spider queen, their eyes fixed on the worm carcass.
That...must be precious, right?
A new hint of greed erged but as the hunters’ gazes on Lucien changed—
Lucien’s landlord aura surged.
Wongggg.
A mountain-like pressure descended upon the hunters and the guards, only sparing the ordinary people.
"Ugh!"
The hunters and the guards gritted their teeth, trying to stand steady as they glared at Lucien, their pupils trembling.
The captain spat out his words from his gritted teeth.
"W-what— do you want?"
Against the overwhelming aura, the glinting cannons around Lucien beca a background prop.
Lucien slowly opened his mouth and his voice rang in Lurenzo’s mind.
[Sell a worm.]
Lurenzo subconsciously opened his mouth and repeated Lucien’s sentence word by word.
"Sell a worm!"
At Lurenzo’s words, the captain’s eyes flew open.
Sell the worm? That big one?
The captain gulped and asked cautiously,
"Inside the city?"
Lucien nodded and the spider queen crept closer, dragging the big worm.
The hunters around slowly parted, creating an empty path in the middle, their eyes following the huge worm corpse.
"Did you hear that? He’s going to sell the worm!"
"Quick. Tell the others!"
The hunters secretly typed and spread the news to their acquaintances.
Even the patrol guards visibly stirred.
"Captain..."
"Should we...let him in?"
That’s a boss monster from a death zone!
For sale!
There wouldn’t be another chance like this!
The captain squeezed his eyes tightly, reason and desire clashed.
Lucien didn’t give him ti to think as he slowly opened his mouth again, his posture relaxed.
[Open the gate.]
Lurenzo imdiately shouted on top of his lungs, his voice nacing,
"Open the gate!!"
