During the Dark Ages Chapter 33 - 33 Crack between Dimensions

*Boom*

*Shake*

A loud noise and a violent shaking akin to an earthquake, yet not, made my eyes snap open and my body sat up in the bed imdiately, as I could sense that sothing very important was happening. I got up out of the bed and I almost imdiately fell to the ground due to the violent shaking that made even the air look like it was shimring, maybe it was. I just sat there, not moving until the shaking stopped

'What a terrible way to wake up.' I groaned as I made my way to the shower and took a bath. Then I went downstairs and looked into the fridge and noticed that bulb wasn't on when I opened it and what's even worse was that there was no food inside. Oh right I ate it all yesterday.

'I guess the electricity is gone.' I thought as I locked the fridge. I took a new pair of pants from one of the closets upstairs and walked towards the mansion. I felt a lot better than before, not yet at 100% efficiency, but I should be strong enough to take on any challenge that ca my way, even if that challenge happens to be an Angel. While walking to the mansion, I noticed sothing, the demon miasma on the ground has gotten thicker and it was floating higher off the ground, being only a bit below my knees and as I got closer to the mansion I noticed that it got thinner. When I reached the mansion I noticed that Synthia was standing at the gate with a serious expression on her face as she looked at nothing in particular in the distance, which was weird and that was my first clue that sothing was seriously wrong.

"Colin, we have a serious problem." She said as soon as I was a few ters away from her.

"Yeah, what's wrong?" I asked, folding my arms

"The crack has widened." She said and it suddenly made sense why there was so much shaking and that loud sound must have been the crack in the barrier widening. That would also explain why the Demon miasma was getting thicker, if the barrier between Earth and the Underworld has widened even further, that ans that more Demon Miasma is leaking from the Underworld onto Earth. But if that was the only problem, then I don't think Synthia would look so worried. This recent developnt also made think of where exactly this crack was and what exactly would happen if the barrier fully collapsed.

"Colin, I need you to listen carefully. Since the crack has widened then Demons from the Underworld should be able to cross over to Earth and -" Synthia started but I interrupted her.

"Wait a minute, are you saying that those ancient and powerful Demons can just co here now?" I asked panicked because if that was the case then I'd be fucked. Even though I was a Demon, I don't think that would stop them from tearing apart if they found out I helped an Angel, hell they might just do it for fun.

"No, judging by the density of demon miasma I doubt that anything above tier 4 can co here…yet. But right now Demons from the Underworld isn't a priority yet since it will take ti for them to enter this realm from theirs, so I'm going to need to prepare." Synthia said and I understood what she ant.

"You going to make holy weapons, aren't you?" I asked

"Yes and in the anti, I need you to kill as many Undeads inside the city. With the density of Demon miasma they will probably start to evolve soon and we'd be screwed if we had to fight an army of tier 3s." Synthia replied

"Don't you think this is a good ti to teach how to make cursed weapons? I said and Synthia raised an eyebrow.

"Listen if we have to fight Demons from the Underworld then I need to be better equipped. Our entire relationship is one based on trust, if you can't trust and I you, then we might as well just end our cooperation now." I said, and she stayed silent for a mont

"Fine, let go grab a few ingots and I'll et you at the blacksmith shop." Synthia said but I stopped her.

"No need, there are still a few ingots left at the shop." I said and Synthia frowned.

"Why would there be ingots left at the shop?"

"For my personal use." I answered truthfully and I could see her frown deepening.

"Co on let's go, we might not have a lot of ti left." I said and transford into my Demon form and took to the sky. Synthia soon followed after and I could feel her gaze piercing into the back of my skull.
