Chapter 178

New Quest Received

Quest: SURVIVE

Reward: ????

The mont the system prompt flashed before their eyes, both Ronan and Aiden froze, their faces going pale.

They knew exactly what that quest ant.

Han was going to attack—next.

And judging by the look in his blood-red eyes, he wasn’t holding back.

This ti, he really might kill them.

"Everyone, prepare for battle!" Ronan shouted, his voice tight with fear.

"If you want to live, don’t hold anything back!"

Elexa and the others didn’t even have ti to fully grasp what was happening before it hit them—an overwhelmingly oppressive aura ca crashing down on them like a tidal wave of dread.

"Erald Vine Mode—Activate!" Aiden roared, transforming into his massive gorilla-beast form. In a blur of motion, he stepped in front of Han’s incoming punch.

BAM!

CRACK–CRACK–CRACK–CRACK–CRACK–BOOM!

Despite the Erald Vine Mode’s fad defense, Han’s single punch shattered Aiden’s reinforced chest like glass. Blood sprayed from his mouth as he was launched like a teor into the sky. The force behind the blow generated a shockwave so strong it sent everyone else sprawling into the distance.

Han stood still, red eyes blazing with unrelenting fury.

His aura scread one thing—murder.

"I’ll get rid of every single one of you," Han said, his voice like ice over fla.

"Thirty Splitting Strike!" ca a calm voice behind him.

Ronan appeared in a flash, just a ter away from Han’s back, sword glowing with power. He aid directly for the shoulder joint—his goal clear: decapitate Han before he could strike again.

He unleashed his full strength.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! ... CRACK—CRACK!

Ronan’s eyes went wide.

His sword—his strongest blade—was cracking, the edge buckling under the pressure.

It was about to break.

Then Han turned, his red eyes locking onto Ronan like death itself.

Without a mont’s hesitation, Ronan crossed his blade in front of him and triggered his skill—Switch!

He swapped places with a large tallic object in the distance.

FWOOM—BOOM!

The mont Ronan vanished, both the sword and the object he switched with were obliterated in a blinding explosion.

Ronan appeared far away, panting, pale as a ghost.

He had escaped death by a fraction of a second.

His heart pounded in his chest.

If he’d hesitated—if he’d been just a little slower—he’d be dead.

Han’s gaze snapped to Ronan again, rage even deeper in his eyes.

He blurred forward.

This ti, Ronan couldn’t react fast enough.

The destruction-charged punch was already in motion, aid straight for his skull.

Ti slowed.

This was it.

He was going to die... at the hands of the man who once saved him.

"OGA BEAM!" a voice scread.

A massive golden beam of energy tore through the air, slamming into Han with trendous force.

Han was blasted backward like a cannonball, crashing into a massive structure far in the distance with a deafening BOOM that shook the ground.

Ronan collapsed to his knees, gasping.

"Thanks..." he muttered, turning to see Clara, standing tall in her glowing tech-suit.

She gave a slight nod, her gaze still fixed on the smoke cloud in the distance.

She hadn’t held back at all.

Her strongest weapon had just been fired.

And yet...

A dry laugh escaped her lips.

From the dust and destruction, a figure erged—

Han.

Unhard.

Unstoppable.

His presence now radiated pure, suffocating power.

Clara’s eyes narrowed.

She wasn’t afraid for Han.

No...

They were the ones who should be afraid.

The next mont, Han appeared right in front of Clara like a phantom.

She thrust her hands forward, ready to fire. But before she could react—

CRACK.

Han gripped both her arms. Her bones creaked ominously under his strength.

Sparks flew from her gauntlets as her blaster ports were crushed, her wrists nearly torn apart.

But then—

ZAP! ZAP! ZAP!

Bolts of electricity struck Han from all directions.

They didn’t injure him much—maybe not at all—but they stung enough to break his focus.

With perfect timing, Ronan activated Switch, yanking Clara out of Han’s grasp and replacing her with a large steel pillar, which was instantly vaporized by Han’s follow-through.

Finally, they were snapping out of their daze.

Ronan turned, spotting Elexa hovering in the air, her long blue hair crackling with static. Sparks danced along her body like she was born of lightning itself.

Below, Little One had shrunk into his microscopic combat form, perched silently on Balor’s shoulder.

Around them, the guild mbers readied themselves.

They all understood the truth now—if Han landed a hit, they wouldn’t survive.

"Everyone—GO!" Balor commanded, stepping into the void.

Little One shrank even further and launched himself toward Han, a re blur invisible to the naked eye.

He was betting on Han’s rage clouding his awareness.

And it worked.

Han’s red eyes were locked on Elexa, seething with bloodlust.

Little One struck.

He unleashed a barrage of rapid-fire energy blasts, every one carrying deadly force.

Each shot landed cleanly, lighting Han up like a fireworks display—

But nothing happened.

Not even a scratch.

Little One froze midair. His tiny mouth hung open in disbelief.

He knew how powerful those attacks were—and Han hadn’t even flinched.

Worse—Han noticed him.

Slowly, Han turned his head.

Little One bolted.

Too late.

Han’s hand sliced through the air like a scythe, the shockwave alone launching Little One like a cannonball.

He slamd into the ground with a thunderous crash.

Han’s gaze returned to Elexa, calm and unaffected—like he’d just swatted a fly.

Elexa trembled slightly in the air.

She’d always been confident.

Even when facing a Null, she had held her ground.

But now?

She felt true fear.

The kind that made your soul shiver.

The kind that whispered: You’re going to die.

No, she told herself, steadying her breath.

Panicking in a fight like this was suicide.

She focused, then activated her strongest form.

Volt Avatar.

In an instant, her body dissolved into a storm of lightning—millions of crackling bolts zipping in every direction before converging on Han from all sides.

They struck with unimaginable force—

But Han stood unmoved.

The electric storm bounced off him like rain hitting stone.

The only thing it did... was annoy him.

With a guttural roar, Han raised his arm, gathering imnse energy.

Then he slamd it into the ground.

BOOOOOOM!

The earth shattered.

An invisible wave of pressure erupted from the impact, flattening everything in a hundred-ter radius.

The bolts of lightning reford into Elexa’s body.

She collapsed to her knees, eyes wide, face pale.

She wasn’t bleeding externally—

But blood trickled from the corner of her mouth.

The attack hadn’t hit her directly.

Yet it had wrecked her internally.

She looked up at Han, helpless and shaken.

Why... why is he so strong? she thought.

He wasn’t just above Class S...

He was sothing else entirely.

But what disturbed her more than his strength—

Was his aura.

That overwhelming, twisted bloodlust.

She rembered the first ti she saw Han... back in Maurina.

Calm. Gentle. Almost serene.

There had been a quiet peace about him.

Now?

Now he felt like a demon wearing human skin.

A cold chill ran down her spine.

What... happened to you, Han?

Her heart sank.

Her expression turned grim.

To be continued...
