Chapter 89

The command room of the Tryst Guild was unusually tense. All the guild elites were present, including mbers from the Silver Guild. Everyone wore the signature Tryst colors—white robes with blue linings—standing like silent statues beneath the dim overhead light.

"I’m tired of waiting. Can soone speak already?" Aiden broke the silence, his voice cutting through the air like a blade.

Silver Wing stepped forward in response. He gave Han a respectful bow before addressing the room. He had already ntioned to Han that he had a lead on an Evol Shard, and now it was ti to elaborate.

"Several hundred years ago, before skills beca widespread," Silver Wing began, "there existed a legendary martial arts competition known as the Power Tournant. Back then, strength was asured by raw talent and discipline—no awakening, no skills. Just technique."

As he spoke, only Ronan and Clara gave any sign of recognition. The rest wore expressions of mild confusion. Han frowned. "And how does that relate to the Evol Shard?"

Silver Wing chuckled lightly. "You see, the tournant eventually faded away. Once awakenings beca a thing, those with martial arts alone stood no chance against the awakened. It beca... one-sided. Boring. So they discontinued it."

He paused, scanning their expressions. None of them seed to grasp the significance of what he was saying—even Clara looked puzzled. He sighed inwardly. Why does it feel like I’m explaining history to children? Then again, most of them were barely nineteen. Only Shae, Bron, and Shin were older—Bron being the eldest at twenty-nine.

"But the tournant was revived," he continued. "This ti, by the top-tier forces—the Class S Heroes and the Mason Family." His eyes flicked to Clara, expecting recognition, but she simply stared, still lost.

"But how does this bring us to the Evol Shard?" Ronan asked, calm as ever.

"I’m going to participate," Silver Wing said bluntly. "Because the top five contestants in this year’s tournant receive incredible rewards."

"And..." Clara’s eyes lit up. "This year’s prize includes an Evol Shard."

Silver Wing smiled. "Exactly."

"Wait. An Evol Shard?" Aiden asked, his brows shooting up. "As in, the Evol Shard? Those things are so rare even Class S heroes fight over them. You’re telling us it’s being offered up in a tournant?!"

The rest of the room stirred, nodding. It sounded unbelievable. Evol Shards were priceless—rumored to hold near-unlimited potential. Only Class S heroes had been recorded owning one, and even then, it was an anomaly.

Silver Wing anticipated their doubt. Without a word, he pulled out a compact black sphere and tapped a button. A holographic projection flickered to life above it, displaying detailed information about the upcoming tournant—how to register, the rules, and most importantly, the prizes.

The room fell silent again as everyone read:

5th Place: A-rank weapon or 10 million Yen

4th Place: Freedom to join any Hero Guild of choice

3rd Place: Direct ntorship under a Class S Hero

2nd Place: Access to a genuine S-rank weapon or item

1st Place: A certified Evol Shard

No one spoke for a mont.

"...Holy hell," Aiden finally muttered.

The tension in the room was replaced with sothing else: ambition. Awe. And above all—desire.

The group kept re-reading the tournant prize list in stunned silence. It was almost too good to be true.

"Are the rewards always this generous?" Aiden finally asked, his eyes wide with disbelief.

Silver Wing shook his head. "No. Normally, the champion receives a high-grade A-rank item and is granted automatic A-rank status—regardless of whether they’re a hero or just a martial artist. But this year is... different."

The World Tournant of Power, Han mused silently. From the information displayed, it was clear that nearly every powerful individual on the planet would be gathering there—to compete, to prove themselves, and to determine who truly stood at the peak of humanity. Or, more accurately, who stood just below the Class S tier.

Class S heroes were forbidden from dueling one another. Their power was so devastating that a single battle could obliterate entire cities. Over ti, the world had co to a silent agreent: Class S stood above all. Untouchable. Gods among n.

But Clara’s brows furrowed as she read through the details again. Sothing feels off, she thought. These prizes... they’re far too extravagant. There has to be more to this. She didn’t voice her concerns, though. Not yet. First, she needed to dig deeper.

"There are no restrictions on who can enter," Silver Wing explained. "Anyone can join—except E-rankers."

Han let out a small, bitter chuckle. As always, E-rankers are seen as trash... worthless in the eyes of the world. He clenched his fists subtly. But that perception is going to change. Soon.

He had already decided who among his people were worthy of joining the tournant. In his mind, the lineup was forming. The event was only a few days away, and there was no hesitation in him. Han would enter. He would claim the Evol Shard.

He turned to Silver Wing. "Anyone I should watch out for in the tournant?" he asked calmly.

Silver Wing paused, thinking carefully. "To my knowledge, no one below Class S should be able to challenge you," he replied. "And thankfully, they won’t be participating."

Just as he turned to leave, sothing flickered in his mory. He stopped and turned back, his expression grim.

"You’re strong, Boss. I have no doubt you’ll rise to the top."

He hesitated.

"But... be careful."

Han narrowed his eyes. "Careful of who?"

Silver Wing t his gaze.

"The rest of the A6."
