While it might seem a great thing, the reveal had Ery on edge. After all, it basically told him his body had been tempered without his knowledge or consent. Who knew what they put in him while he was unconscious.
The last thing he needed was for another Lucius situation to repeat itself.
Therefore when they told him to take so ti to consider the matter. That in the anti they would have so tests carried out on his body, he gladly accepted. It hadn't been long since Ery had awakened and he really needed so ti to process everything he had just learned.
Headed by Grand Master Reikun, along with several Apex experts he had seen before, Ery underwent several tests to find out more about his condition in a closed facility within the Silvermane Palace.
Although he had expected it, Ery was still quite surprised when he easily aced the physical test with his nearly 300 battle power. There were a few Crescent Moon wolf half-blood magus who could match this number, but with his Twilight transformation ability and [Paragon's Blessings], Ery could arguably be considered the strongest.
However, what was defined as a new mutation to his gene only gave him 25 points of battle power. Even though it was indeed quite a substantial boost, it fell short of the expectations for a Rank 9 gene. After all, it was the limit to any existing bloodline.
"Let's start with the ntal test then," Grand Master Reikun said.
After the physical test was over, one of the staff quickly approached him and a device was placed on his head. It was the dium that mimicked a spirit attack and would be used to asure his ntal capacity.
"Have we started yet?"
Ery asked Grand Master Raikun and the others, who observed him when he didn't feel anything. To his surprise, the words he spoke earned him a look of surprise.
"Increase the power!"
Once again, Ery didn't feel anything. There was not even a single jolt.
Grand Master Raikun and the others grew flustered until eventually expressions of pure confusion could be seen on all of their faces. This naturally caught Ery's attention, who could see everything clearly.
"Is it already at maximum?" Grand Master Raikun asked his n, his eyes on the graph that showed Ery's current condition.
"Yes, grand master. The device is already at its limit."
Nodding his head, Grand Master Raikun told Ery what happened, which surprised him. As it turned out, even at maximum capacity, Ery only felt a slight tingle of the spirit attack.
Ery's situation was quite a fascinating discovery, as the device used for ntal tests normally didn't need to utilize its maximum capacity, even when used by a peak Full Moon magus.
Seeing such a situation, Warwick, who was also present to observe the examination, suggested an alternative to both Grand Master Raikun and Ery. After receiving confirmation and consent, he entered the room Ery was in and used his spirit attack to probe his mind.
The situation reminded Ery of the first encounter he had with the old wolf. At that ti, the grand magus was only probing for information, hence he couldn't use his full strength so as to not create permanent damage to his mind.
However, this ti was completely different.
A faint ripple could be seen spreading across the room as Warwick unleashed his spirit attack on Ery. The mont it entered his magus core, Ery subconsciously ford a ntal barrier. One that was unique, coming from within.

It was an innate ability new to him. It must be sothing that ca with his mutation. When it was activated, Ery felt a sense of confidence telling him he could block the old wolf's attack, which he did, albeit leaving only a slight feeling of unpleasantness.
As ti passed and his attack didn't seem to inflict any damage, Warwick was clearly impressed by Ery as he said, "I can confidently say that among us, only Lord Alduin could break your ntal defenses."
An innate skill that allows him to stop spirit attacks from a grand magus-level individual would indeed be very useful for him.
Those words gave Ery a sense of security and relief. With this ability, coupled with his blood gene enhancent, it was likely that no one would be able to ss with his mind any longer.
On the other hand, the discovery of Ery's ability brought excitent to the group. Even King Alduin looked happy for him.
Catching Ery by surprise, the old wolf suddenly bent his body, giving him a respectful bow while saying, "This is an undeniable proof. You have indeed received my lord's legacy. Hence, please accept the will of the late Alpha King."
Seeing such action, Grand Master Raikun and General Talbots imdiately followed suit and gave similar respectful bows to him.
Ery felt overwheld by the respect from powerful figures like them. However, after a little consideration, his answer was, "No, I refuse, please find soone else."

As the atmosphere beca awkward, Ery quickly walked out of the facility without an explanation together with Morgana, leaving the group of the grand magus confused at his refusal.
The reason he refused was actually very simple. However impressive the title of Silvermane King was, Ery trusted none of them. He knew basically nothing about them.
If he accepted, they might just kill him as soon as Alduin left, or worse, make him a puppet for hundreds of years and throw him away like trash when they found soone better.
After all, he didn't have any real strength to go against them.
Therefore the answer he gave was a big No.
He really should just take the win and leave the planet while he still could.
Ery headed straight for the main door, to leave the palace, only to find that he was not allowed to leave without the permission of Lord Warwick.
"Damn, really? I have to choose between king or prisoner?"
Ery honestly found this whole situation threatening to him, so much so that he was considering getting out of the place by force when a voice rang through the air, stopping him in his tracks.
"You're not going to just leave without talking to first, are you, young friend?"
Turning around, he saw the ruler of the Zodiac City, Alduin Talon.
"Co, let us have a talk."
