The desert sand rippled violently as explosions tore through the battlefield, marking the unrelenting clash between Ery and the dark elf Grand Magus, Syltrith. The air itself seed to shimr with the sheer power emanating from their fight.

Despite holding the upper hand, Ery found himself unable to land a decisive blow. Syltrith, with her near-limitless cosmic energy and an arsenal of evasive techniques, managed to elude his critical attacks again and again.

But the cracks in her confidence were beginning to show. Her once-arrogant smirk had vanished, replaced by a scowl of frustration and desperation. Hundreds of exchanges later, Syltrith finally realized the reason behind her diminishing strength.

"Law of Devour!" she hissed, eyes wide with realization. "You've been siphoning my power all this ti!"

Ery's silence was answer enough. Her plan to outlast him through sheer endurance was unraveling before her eyes. To make matters worse, she could see the battlefield shifting against her.

All of her assassins had fallen, their lifeless bodies scattered across the battlefield. Even the orcs, once a sea of violent rage, had been utterly annihilated, she could see from afar that the civilians had begun marching steadily northward, escorted to safety.

The realization clawed at her, she had failed.

Gritting her teeth, she scread "You human bastard! I will find you one day! I will make you pay for this!"

With a sharp burst of cosmic energy, Syltrith turned and launched herself skyward, a streak of light speeding northward like a cot.

Ery watched her retreat, his piercing gaze narrowing. "Really? Running away? Not after all the trouble you've caused!" he shouted. His light wings flared, shining brilliantly against the dusky sky before Ery launched himself after her.

Though fast, Ery found himself struggling to match the sheer speed of the fleeing Grand Magus. Ery pushed himself harder, the air whistling past his ears, but no matter how much he strained, the gap between them widened.

She was pulling farther ahead with each passing second. Within minutes, Syltrith was little more than a faint blur in the distance. But Ery had an edge. At this distance, the disruptor artifacts had a diminished effect on him. Finally able to draw on his mastery of the law of space, Ery summoned a spatial gate. In the blink of an eye, he reappeared directly in her path.

"You're not going anywhere!"

Syltrith veered sharply, changing direction with lightning speed, her trajectory now aid toward the Citadel. But Ery's divine sense tracked her every move. Another gate materialized, and once again, he blocked her path.

Her frustration reached a boiling point as she prepared to shift course yet again—when suddenly, she felt them.

Reinforcents.

From the horizon, three squads of elven magus approached swiftly. Among them was a figure who exuded an aura of undeniable strength—a Grand Magus. Syltrith couldn't suppress the grin that spread across her lips.

The tide of battle had turned.

Ery, hovering mid-air, took note of their arrival. His gaze shifted between the reinforcents and Syltrith. Instead of panic, a wry chuckle escaped his lips.

"There are only nine Grand Magus elves on this planet.. and two were sent for ? I'm flattered."

Without waiting for a response, Ery folded his wings and dived sharply toward the desert floor. As he descended, his mastery over the Law of Nature ca into play. The sands seed to ripple and shift beneath him, opening like water to swallow him whole. The grains rippled as he burrowed deep, using his affinity with nature to escape through the earth.

Syltrith growled in frustration, with reinforcents at her side, she refused to let him go. She extended her senses, reaching deep into the ground below to track him.

What she found left her montarily stunned.

Three distinct energy signatures erged, splitting off in different directions beneath the sands. Each one mirrored Ery's aura, moving at incredible speed.

"What is this?!! clones!!" she muttered, her frustration mounting.

As she hovered above the desert, trying to decide which path to follow, the elven reinforcents arrived in full force. Azula and Grand Magus Hulu descended with the confidence of seasoned warriors.

"Where is he? Where is the savage magus?!"

Carrying a direct order from the Khan, Azula wasted no ti asserting her authority over the assembled forces. "We have to catch him at all costs!" she declared, her tone brooking no argunt.

She directed each magus squad to follow the diverging paths, each carrying disruptors to block the target's spatial abilities and ensure he couldn't escape.

As Syltrith prepared to follow one of the paths, Azula stopped her abruptly

"Not so fast, Chief Syltrith. First, brief on the situation."

"We don't have ti for this!" Syltrith snapped.

Azula's calm deanor remained unshaken. "Don't worry. I know exactly what kind of person we're dealing with."

She instructed Grand Magus Hulu to head toward the civilian mass, and disrupt their escape, believing this would inevitably draw the target back into their grasp.

With deliberate precision, Azula issued her orders. The squads split into three groups, each ard with disruptor artifacts designed to prevent teleportation. Grand Magus Hulu was sent south, where the civilians were retreating.

"He'll definitely return and protect them," Azula stated confidently.

Syltrith frowned. "Then we should head there as well!"

Azula shook her head. "If we all go, he might sense a trap and avoid us. We need to divide our forces to corner him."

Reluctantly, Syltrith agreed, begrudgingly placing her trust in Azula's reputation and experience. As Hulu moved southward, Azula and Syltrith stayed behind, positioning themselves strategically to await further intel.

Not long after, the distant sound of battle carried through the air. Flashes of light and bursts of energy lit up the horizon in the direction of the fleeing civilians. It seed Hulu had engaged Major Zoller, as expected.

Observing the scene from afar, Syltrith let out a asured exhale of relief. "It's fortunate you're here... That savage magus is hard to deal with!"

Azula responded with a calm, almost reassuring smile "You won't need to worry about him anymore. I ca prepared."

Reaching her storage ring, Azula pulled out a gleaming artifact—a chain imbued with pulsating high-grade enchantnts, its surface etched with runes that shimred faintly in the desert light. The artifact radiated power, a tool designed to subdue even the mightiest of opponents, including Grand Magus figures.

Syltrith's initial relief faded into unease. Her instincts scread at her, but before she could act, Azula lunged with startling speed. The enchanted chain snapped through the air with a tallic whip and coiled tightly around Syltrith's arms. The force of the binding sent a surge of magical suppression coursing through her body.

"You!! What are you doing!?" Syltrith gasped, her voice a mixture of shock and outrage.

Before she could retaliate, the ground beneath them erupted. Vines and roots, glowing with ethereal light, shot up from the sands, and binding Syltrith tightly. Amidst the chaos, a figure erged from the shifting sands—Ery. His Elysian roots coiled like serpents around their prey.

Syltrith's eyes burned with fury and disbelief. Twisting her head, she glared at Azula. "Azula… you… traitor!"
