ROARRRR!!!
The elder dragon burst through the dense poison mist, its massive body afla, the fiery glow illuminating the chaotic battlefield. Each thunderous step left the earth trembling, and its talons extended, poised to strike Ery with predatory precision. The beast's wings beat with hurricane force, sending waves of scorching air toward its prey.
But Chututlu stood its ground. The eldritch monstrosity's massive tentacles lashed out, slamming against the dragon's fiery body, creating an explosive clash of fire and flesh. The dragon roared in fury, swiping its wings in a sweeping arc, forcing Chututlu to stagger back, montarily losing its balance. Taking advantage, the dragon dove, its blazing maw aid directly at Ery, who remained firmly atop his monstrous ally.
Ery tightened his grip, fully aware of the peril. To dismount would spell certain death. As the dragon neared, he activated his Elysian Vambrace, and multiple roots with brilliant glow erged, weaving an extra layer of defense around him and Chututlu.
Yet, the dissipating poison mist brought new dangers. Five void stalkers, their ghastly forms now visible, seized the opportunity. Their glowing eyes locked onto Ery as they blinked and phased through the battlefield, weaving past the roots and tentacles that had once hindered them.
"Spread out! Attack from all sides!" commanded one of the void stalkers.
Ery acted swiftly. The vambrace pulsed again, and his connection to nature surged through the battlefield. Roots erupted, growing into ferocious plant creatures with serrated fangs, another form of his [Nature Familiar] spell. The air filled with the sound of snapping jaws as they lunged at the void stalkers, forcing them to blink erratically to avoid the onslaught.
The chaos deepened. Chututlu writhed violently, its tentacles flailing as it fought to hold off the elder dragon's relentless assault. Amid this maelstrom, Tolaro's spatial wheels sliced through the air, their angles unpredictable. One massive arc of energy bypassed the defenses, tearing through Chututlu's side, and flew directly to Ery's side.
BAMMM!!!
Ery swung his sword with a ferocious Mountain Axis Slash, eting the next wheel head-on. The impact sent shockwaves through his body. His muscles tore, and his bones cracked under the strain.
"URRGHH!!!" Ery gritted his teeth, his pain drowned out by adrenaline.
Another spatial wheel hurtled toward him from behind. Ery's instincts took over. Summoning his mastery over space, he cast his spatial bending and bent the fabric around him, pulling one of the void stalkers directly into the wheel's path.
"NOOO!!!"
The void stalker's defensive spells flared, but they weren't enough. Blood splattered as the wheel tore into him, leaving the magus gravely wounded.
Ery wasted no ti. With ruthless efficiency, he yanked the dying stalker closer, his blade claws erging to pierce the magus's flesh as he cast [Spirit Devour], siphoning what little spirit energy remained in the dying figure. The act was swift, brutal—and necessary. "You vile humans!" another void stalker scread, his voice filled with rage.
Ery ignored the insult. Between casting continuous defensive spells, sustaining Chututlu, and warding off the void stalkers, his spirit pool was dangerously close to depletion and he would do anything it took to survive.
Unfortunately, he didn't have ti to fully siphon the magus's energy before another wave of Tolaro's spatial wheels whirled toward him. He reacted instantly, weaving a protective lattice of Elysian roots to intercept the deadly projectiles.
BAMMM!!!
The shimring runes on his vambrace glowed brighter as his spellwork thickened the barrier. Sparks flew as the spatial wheels collided with the roots, carving deep grooves but failing to penetrate.
Just as Ery thought he had bought himself so ti, he felt a shift in the air. His senses scread a warning.
"NOW DIE!"
Tolaro's voice thundered as the dark elf Grand Magus materialized re feet away in a burst of spatial distortion. With the poison mist cleared and Chututlu fully engaged with the elder dragon, Ery had no ti to react. Tolaro's bone saber, crackling with icy energy, swung with devastating precision.
BAMMM!!
The saber struck Ery square in the back. The force of the blow was monstrous, shattering the reinforced Elysian roots surrounding him and blasting him off Chututlu's back. He hurtled through the air, crashing into a dilapidated building with bone-crunching force.
Pain wracked his body—sharp, unrelenting waves radiating from his back. If not for the tier-7 [Ocean Heart Vest] protecting him, the strike would have been fatal. Even so, the runes etched into the armor flickered weakly, struggling to repair the damage.
Coughing through the dust, Ery forced himself to stand, but Tolaro gave him no chance to recover, surging forward with another ruthless strike.
BAMMM!!!
The dark elf's bone saber smashed into Ery's side, sending him careening into the rubble-strewn ground. The impact reverberated through his body, and he felt the sickening crack of several ribs shattering under the force. Gasping for air, Ery struggled to push himself up, his vision swimming.
The runes on his [Ocean Heart Vest] flared to life, bathing him in a soft, golden glow. Healing energy coursed through his broken body, knitting bone and nding tissue. But even as his wounds closed, the residual chill from Tolaro's icy strike seeped into his core, gnawing at him with an unrelenting frost.
Tolaro strode toward him, his bone saber dragging along the ground, leaving a trail of frost in its wake. His pale features twisted into a mocking grin. "For a lower-realm worm, you carry quite a treasure."
Ery's eyes darted to his surroundings, assessing the battlefield. Chututlu was locked in a brutal struggle with the elder dragon, its colossal tentacles lashing out to keep the beast at bay. anwhile, Killgragh was in even worse shape. The black dragon was pinned beneath the dracolich's relentless assault, its pained roars echoing across the ruins as it fought against the icy onslaught.
A deep sigh escaped Ery's lips. The situation was dire.
Tolaro noticed the fleeting mont of hesitation and grinned wider "You've had a good run," he mocked, his voice dripping with condescension. "But it ends now."
Desperation clawed at Ery's mind, but he refused to succumb to panic. His hand brushed against his storage ring, where a last-resort artifact waited, one he had prepared for monts like this.
The device activated with a low, resonant thrum. A sudden wave of heavy gravity rippled outward, pulling loose debris and fractured stone toward its center. The ground quaked under the imnse pressure, and the very air seed to thicken.
Tolaro staggered slightly, his expression twisting into one of annoyance. "A gravity device? Pathetic."
But Ery wasn't relying on the artifact to stop him. It was a distraction, a setup for his next move. Channeling every ounce of remaining energy, Ery extended his arms toward the vortex of gravity.
"Let's see if your mirror world can withstand this!" Ery growled.
The air around them darkened, the gravitational pull intensifying as Ery poured his power into the artifact. With a final, deafening roar, he unleashed the devastating spell.
