The battlefield shuddered as the entire mountain of corpses began to writhe and twist. Bones cracked, flesh squird, and thousands of cadavers lted together into one towering monstrosity. A mountain-sized horror rose with grotesque limbs, its colossal arms ending in claws large enough to crush castles.

With a guttural roar, it swung both arms down like avalanches aid to pulverize the primal beast.

But Ery’s wolf form stood unflinching.

His glowing green runes flared and lunged with brutal force, its muscled fra slamming forward like a living battering ram.

BAAMM!!

Flesh and bone shattered under the impact— the abomination’s colossal limb was blasted apart in a spray of gore.

Ery bared his fangs, relief flashing in his eyes.

This form of Talaro, bloated, slow, relying only on bulk, was a shadow of his earlier strength. Its only advantage was its thickness, its endless tide of flesh.

"Then... I’ll just tear you apart, piece by piece," Ery growled, his voice carrying the primal resonance of the beast.

A savage howl ripped through the air—

HOOOOWWWLLLLL!!

The primal beast launched into a relentless rampage, tearing into the grotesque body with claws and fangs. Each strike ripped massive chunks of decayed flesh away, reducing the mountain little by little. The monstrosity shrank, its once imposing body dwindling under the relentless assault.

From within the crumbling mountain of flesh, Talaro’s spectral voice scread in desperation. "I am the chosen one! !" His soul howled for aid, "Daurgothoth! Do sothing! Help !"

But the Khaos guardian was silent.

anwhile, Ery’s confidence was tempered by the growing ache in his core. The primal transformation weighed heavily on him, gnawing at his reserves. His limbs felt heavier with every movent, his breath burned in his chest, and the beast’s surging strength was beginning to collapse inward.

If he didn’t end this quickly, exhaustion would crush him before his enemy did.

Closing his eyes for a heartbeat, Ery sent his divine sense piercing through the rotting mountain. He scoured every knot of sinew, every writhing layer of flesh. Seconds dragged until—there! he found it, the dark elf aperture pulsing at the abomination’s core.

That had to be where the soul had been hiding.

After dodging the relentless strikes of the Wrath of Flesh, Ery finally gathered enough strength to unleash the primal beast’s innate killer move one last ti.

The beast’s monstrous jaws opened wide, and a radiant beam of light erupted, searing through the grotesque mass of flesh. The blast carved open a path, tearing straight into its core aperture.

Ery did not hesitate. He charged forward, his claws glowing with primal energy, and plunged deep into the exposed wound and clamped tightly onto the undead aperture itself.

The entire abomination convulsed violently. The writhing flesh began to collapse in on itself, crumbling as black ichor sprayed in every direction. From the torn aperture, a ghostly figure suddenly burst free—Talaro’s spectral soul, wreathed in dim, violet light.

As a grand magus with a high comprehension of spatial law, Talaro’s spirit had the ans to slip away from almost any battle. But this was no ordinary battlefield. The temporal bubble sealed off every path of escape.

His soul struck the barrier. He turned—and froze.

Hovering just a breath away was the primal beast itself, its massive form dimming as Ery’s transformation weakened. His primal body was already beginning to dissipate, fangs retracting, his silhouette collapsing back into a half-transford state. Even so, Ery’s presence radiated lethal intent.

Without a physical body, Talaro posed almost no threat. His eyes darted, his spectral form trembling as desperation welled in his voice.

"Wait! Think this through—I can help you!"

Ery’s gaze sharpened, cold and rciless.

"You know.... that’s exactly what the other one said."

Talaro’s essence flickered as his panic deepened. He tried again, words spilling out in frantic haste. "I... I am a high-ranking dark elf! I know secrets, countless secrets! I can be a valuable prisoner to you—an asset!"

Ery tilted his head slightly. A faint smirk tugged at his lips as he gave his answer.

"Yes... You are valuable indeed."

For a fleeting second, the dark elf’s spirit felt relief. But just as quickly, dread washed over him. The tone, the cadence—it was far too similar to what had happened before. Kronos had heard those sa words.

Ery was toying with him.

He had no interest in dark elf intelligence. No desire for prisoners. A being like Talaro, with such mastery of spatial law, was far too dangerous to leave alive. And besides, Ery felt instinctively that this was the key to breaking free from the bubble.

Ery raised his claw, its spectral talons burning with savage light. There was no hesitation in his movents—only grim resolve.

[Spirit Devour]

Shockingly, Talaro did not resist. He didn’t even attempt to flee. Instead, a wicked grin spread across his disembodied face.

"If I can’t have it..." His voice dripped with malice. "...then neither can you!"

Talaro began chanting. Dark runes flared across his spectral form. Suddenly, spatial rifts split open in the air around them, tearing through reality like shattered glass. Half a dozen apertures appeared, each one hovering and trembling with unstable energy.

Ery felt his stomach drop. "What are these...?"

Talaro’s laughter cracked the silence. "This... is the treasure I kept hidden from you all along. Kekeke... Now I share them all with you!"

Only then did Ery understand. Just like the corpses, they were the remnants of the fallen who were trapped in this realm. Talaro had hoarded them, kept them festering in the dark, and now he was tearing them open all at once, and altering them with his spatial ability.

Chaotic, unstable power bled from each aperture like a flood.

"You’re insane!" Ery shouted, his voice drowned by the shrill hum of breaking space.

Talaro’s grin twisted into a final sneer.

"To think... that cowardly drows would be the final winners. Hahaha...!"

With a surge of defiance, he ignited his soul. His essence beca the catalyst.

The first aperture detonated.

KABOOOMM!!!

A catastrophic blast of spatial force ripped through the air, tearing Ery’s flesh and shaking the realm itself. The second followed—unstoppable. Each explosion was like a collapsing world, shredding everything in its wake.

Ery gasped, his mind racing, eyes searching desperately for escape. But there was none. The entire bubble was collapsing into chaos.

Then—suddenly—

Everything stopped.

The blasts froze mid-eruption. The rifts halted in midair like cracks frozen in ice. Flesh, rubble, even the air itself beca still.

Ery’s ragged breath echoed in the dead calm.

And then, cutting through the stillness, that mysterious voice returned.

"It’s over."
