Now reading: Chapter 2890 Auction 3 from Earth's Greatest Magus, a Adventure novel by Avan.

The market value of a low-grade tier-seven artifact usually ranged between one to two billion spirit stones, while a mid-grade tier-seven artifact would range between three to six billion. Because of that, the starting price of three thousand palace points for the Infernal Sovereign Wings felt slightly higher than expected.

However, the auctioneer soon revealed the reason.

Within the crimson bones of the wings were ancient rune markings, remnants left behind by a long-forgotten magus. These markings were said to contain fragnts of an ancient technique, hidden deep within the structure of the artifact. Anyone capable of deciphering the runes might gain access to that lost knowledge.

The revelation imdiately ignited the crowd.

Even with the already high starting price, many cultivators quickly joined the bidding.

"Three thousand five hundred!"

"Five thousand!"

"Five thousand five hundred!"

"Six thousand!"

The numbers rose rapidly.

Ery watched the price climb while quietly glancing toward Morgana beside him. The wings were certainly perfect for her, but the cost was beginning to reach unreasonable levels. With the sa amount of points, he could purchase two separate tier-seven items instead of just one.

He wondered briefly if Morgana might reconsider.

Unfortunately, that glance triggered an entirely different reaction.

Klea suddenly sent him a sharp ntal ssage.

"You really don't get it, do you?"

Ery blinked in confusion.

"You gave those precious Icarus wings before," Klea continued firmly. "So you better get these wings for her too."

Ery was montarily stunned by Klea's reaction. There seed to be another reasoning behind her insistence-sothing subtle that Ery could not quite grasp. Yet the seriousness in her expression was enough to convince him that this was not a matter worth hesitating over.

Without thinking further, he raised his hand.

"Seven thousand."

The sudden bid caused a small ripple among the nearby seats.

By this point, Ery had already won two earlier auctions, so when he joined the bidding again, several people around the hall began to take notice of him.

"Who is that?" soone whispered nearby.

"I don't recognize him."

"Maybe a new mber of the Virtual Palace..."

"Which faction is he from?"

Not everyone was confused, however. A few cultivators who had followed the Cosmic Bridge duels recognized Ery imdiately. They exchanged quiet looks and shook their heads with faint envy, knowing exactly how Ery had accumulated such a large amount of palace points.

The bidding continued briefly.

"Seven thousand three hundred!"

"Seven thousand six hundred!"

Ery remained calm and placed one final bid.

"Eight thousand."

The price had already exceeded the expected value of the artifact, and no one seed eager to continue pushing it further.

The auctioneer struck the platform.

"Sold!"

The Infernal Sovereign Wings were his.

Ery released a quiet breath as the artifact was transferred to his account. The price had been heavy, but when he turned his head and saw Morgana's rare, genuine smile, the expense suddenly felt worthwhile.

It was the third item he had purchased tonight.

His palace points dropped significantly.

[Remaining Palace Points: 18,400]

Originally, Ery planned to reserve at least ten to fifteen thousand points for purchasing techniques or knowledge later in the Cosmic Hall. With that in mind, the amount he could freely spend had suddenly beco very limited.

And he still had not bought anything for Klea.

As if sensing the thoughts running through his mind, Klea gave him a gentle smile.

"Don't worry," she said softly. "You don't need to buy anything for ."

Unfortunately, her words were followed imdiately by the appearance of the next auction item.

One jade bamboo tubes were placed on the stage, containing set of ancient jade slip. The auctioneer explained that it contained three ancient talisman runes- one defensive, one offensive, and one recovery talisman.

Each rune carried the power equivalent of a high-grade tier-seven spell.

The mont Ery heard the description, he instinctively looked toward Klea.

For soone walking the formation, such knowledge would be extrely

valuable.

But Klea's interest went beyond personal cultivation. If she could learn and refine these runes, she might eventually develop exclusive talismans that could greatly benefit their faction. Such creations could strengthen their forces while also becoming an important source of inco.

From a strategic perspective, the purchase made perfect sense.

Ery nodded in agreent.

However, they were far from the only ones interested in the item.

Several formation masters and grandmasters imdiately joined the bidding. The competition quickly beca intense as experts in talisman crafting recognized the true value of the knowledge contained within the jade slips.

Three thousand.

Four thousand.

Four thousand five hundred.

When the price climbed past five thousand palace points, Ery prepared to

raise his hand.

But Klea suddenly stopped him.

Her expression was unusually firm.

"That's as high as five billion spirit stones," she whispered. "We need to sell

more than tens of thousands of talismans just to recover the cost."

She paused before continuing.

"And my current mastery isn't enough yet. Creating high-grade tier-seven talismans would require enormous effort and ti."

Ery understood imdiately.

Her reasoning was completely practical.

Reluctantly, he lowered his hand.

The bidding continued without them, and the jade slips were eventually sold to

another formation master.

Once again, Ery had failed to buy anything for Klea.

He could only glance at her with a helpless expression.

The auction continued, and the treasures presented on stage gradually beca

more impressive. As the event moved toward its final items, several high-grade tier-seven artifacts began to appear, drawing intense interest from the grand magus in the hall.

One of them was a pair of heavy gauntlets called [Pentacosmic Gauntlet].

The mont the auctioneer revealed it's abilities, the bidding imdiately

escalated.

Several powerful figures joined the competition, pushing the price rapidly

upward.

The price continued climbing until it finally stopped at thirteen thousand palace points, purchased by a mysterious bidder seated on VIP room.

Soon after, the thirtieth item appeared.

This ti, Ery's eyes lit up.

Finally, a high-grade tier-seven blade floated above the stage.
