Chapter 990 Concluded
An hour ago, as soon as Ery perford the decisive strike that ended the life of the Abyss creature, his vision blurred and he found himself at another place as the Primordial Wisp presented him with another vision.
The vision this ti was similar to the one he once had when he touched the Gaia tree.
Ery found his body floating, and his surroundings were filled with nine different colored brilliant lights, naly red, purple, blue, yellow, indigo, cyan, green, and black. Each light brimd with powerful energy, and as his gaze looked down at his feet, there was another equally dazzling white light that seed much more powerful than the rest.
He watched as the white light thumped and the nine lights slowly made their way toward it as if they were being pulled. As they got closer, the light grew bigger and bigger until he could see nothing but color. In the end, the ten different colored lights that had beco enormous t each other and mixed together, becoming smaller and eventually disappearing.
For a mont, the void where nothing existed beca Ery's companion, but their ti was interrupted when a massive explosion suddenly occurred. It roared with such force that made Ery think that his entire existence had been erased in that exact instant!
Ery didn't know how much ti had passed, but he carefully opened his closed eyes. Imdiately, he was greeted by the sight of thousands of tiny sparkling lights. They were scattered everywhere, drifting aimlessly on a black canvas of emptiness.
He witnessed as so of them enter planets of various sizes and different colors. Then, his attention was drawn to the particular one flying towards a yellow planet he was familiar with – Andora.
In an instant, Ery's vision zood to the yellow planet, past the planet's atmosphere and onto a tiny plant seed. Ti seed to be fast forwarded by as the plant grew rapidly, becoming a towering gray tree. It was the one he had seen, the Tree of Light.
The existence of and the tree itself helped make life on the planet flourished at an unprecedented rate. Life was perfect as countless creatures lived in harmony, humans started to arrive from the sky and inhabited the land.
Ti went on, and before long, thousands of years had passed and now the Primordial Wisp had reached its maturity. It started to give birth to offspring, the so-called spirit beings. On the other hand, the humans began to co to its domain more often. They ca with malicious intentions, trying to do them harm.
It was the innate nature of all living beings to fight back when their lives were threatened. And so, the Wisp just did what it had to do in order to survive.
Just like that, the Calamity occurred.
The humans contained the power in an artifact, causing the Primordial Wisp to lose control. It has beco a weapon for those who acquire it. In this case, the one who obtained it was the Guardian of the Trees – the centipede.
Restrained and weakened by the shackles placed upon it, the centipede took over and clouded the Primordial Wisp's mind. With its power, the centipede wreaked havoc to the planet where it was born. Until finally, when Ery managed to kill the creature, it was free once again.
Various visions and ssages finally made Ery see and understand the whole situation.
He once again found himself floating in the void, where this ti a bright ball of light ca and stopped right in front of him. A voice sounded in his mind.
"Thank you human"
The words were clear without any jumbles in them. It wasn't just the Wisp, the offspring was also ecstatic to once again return to their mother. Ery caught a glimpse of the spirit beings flying happily around Primordial Wisp.
"Accept this reward for helping us"
Ery couldn't help but feel excited when he heard such words. Even though he helped the Primordial Wisp out of kindness, a reward was definitely sothing that he would not refuse. Hence he couldn't but wonder what kind of reward a primordial being would give him.
The ball of light floating in front of him shone brightly once again, and Ery received another vision.
It was a vision of a tiny plant growing into a magnificent tree with lush leaves with ti, providing fruit for animals to eat. The vision then shifted to the animal that ate the fruit the tree produced.
The animal found a mate, produced offspring, and then grew old until it could no longer move and could only lie in its nest. He watched it die, and its remains gave life to the birth of more plants.
The vision gave Ery a great deal of insight into his newfound light elent, particularly about the aning of 'life' by going through the experience of the cycle of life itself.

When he finally woke up from his trance-like state, Ery was dumbfounded when he saw the barrage of notifications bombarding his mind. One notification in particular shocked him so much that it left him gobsmacked.
Ery closed and opened his eyes, making sure what he saw wasn't wrong. He wasn't.
He really had learned the spell that made the Royal Centipede a literal immortal. The fabled [Rebirth]
Through firsthand experience, Ery knew very well how powerful the spell was. It was simply overpowered. The fact he was able to use it was a great boon. After all, saving the lives of those around him was of utmost importance.
Excitent ran through him as he couldn't wait to give the spell a try. But his attention was diverted when he felt a sudden feeling of anxiety from the spirit beings. His suspicions were proven by the words the spirit beings spoke.
"They are here!"
A series of information swiftly entered Ery's mind. It told him about the people from the sky who ca to harvest on the tree, and the fact that this ti they had apparently co again to do them harm.
"Help us human"
It was at this mont that Ery sensed a grand magus figure rapidly approaching where he was.
It didn't take long for the 12 offspring to co to a unanimous decision. They decided that they would lure the grand magus away, while Ery would help their mother to escape.
"Please help her"
"I will, tell what to do," Ery said, nodding as a glint of determination flashed across his eyes.
There was a certain farewell communication between the two before Ery put the Wisp inside his Spatial Space and the offspring unleashed its power to lure the grand magus away. Thanks to that, the Wisp managed to escape detection.
Only when Ery, sneaked out of the group, went to a faraway place, and made sure it was safe did he finally take out the Primordial Wisp of his Spatial Space.
"What are you planning to do now?" Ery asked.
"Human, I will find a new planet to nurture. with one of my offspring lived within you, perhaps one day our paths will cross again."
After saying those words, the Wisp soared to the sky. Ery watched the ball of light until it disappeared into the planet's atmosphere.
He heaved a sigh. The Primordial Wips was certainly a source of extre, extraordinary power. However, at this point, Ery had realized how much it was coveted by many and the fact that without adequate power to protect it, it would only be disastrous if one kept it around.
Suddenly, Ery thought about the two Primordial Wisp – Gaia and Khaos – that were currently on Earth. An intense headache ran through his head, but in the end, he could only heave another deep sigh.
Not realizing how much ti he took to reflect, Ery only noticed figures running toward him when they got close. It was Jinkan, who apparently ca together with the old magus of the Iliad faction he saw earlier.
Guessing what Ery had just done, the old magus did not hide the anger he felt.
"You!! Why did you release it?!" He snarled. "You are going to pay for this!"
As soon as the Wisp exited his Spatial Space, these people would be able to sense it and Ery knew that his act would be discovered. In fact, he was actually prepared to accept any consequence thrown in his direction.
The old magus seed about to apprehend Ery, when the Nephilim girl stopped the forr's tracks with her laughter.
"I didn't think you would actually go through with it," Jinkan said in amusent.
It was obvious that the old magus was irritated by her laughter. In his annoyance, he blurted out words he shouldn't have said. "Do you think this is a joke?"
Jinkan's laughter ca to a stop. She looked at the old magus coldly, causing the latter to quake on his boots. In a level tone, she icily said, "It was never stated that capturing the Wisp is what we have to do. It was never in the list of objectives the academy gave nor have anything to do with us acolytes."
Her tone changed, turning into a mockery. "You certainly don't think that we – acolytes" She emphasized the part. "– capable of doing anything to stop such a primordial being, don't you? After all, a certain group of people can't even do that."
The old magus was silent, as he realized what and who Jinkan implied. On the other hand, Ery was anxious because the Nephilim girl, for so reason, backed him up. He couldn't help but think of a sche when he saw the wicked smile on her face.
Jinkan's next word gives him much concern,
"Apparently you are not that stupid, you did the right thing as expected. Now that you know more about the wisp, we will have our conversation soon"

After seeing all the survivors aboard the Iliad faction's spaceship, Ery and the others activated their combat suit's teleportation function.
