After a night's rest, Lucia felt his ntal state reach its peak.
He entrusted the day's affairs to Lansseax and handed the white fox over to Malenia, who had practically been waiting at his door to play. Then, he retreated into the ditation chamber of Valeria Hall, closed his eyes, and plunged his consciousness into the mory Battlefield.
The shattered starry sky unfurled before him like an ancient scroll. In this space, the feeling of absolute control returned. Lucia sat cross-legged beneath the void. He did not summon Samuel this ti; instead, he allowed his spiritual power to sink into the deepest, most guarded corner of his soul.
He felt as though he were walking through an illusion of flowing light. Beneath his feet lay a desolate, endless road flanked by the void. Visions flashed past: a white dragon gliding like a shadow, a crimson giant roaring on a frozen plain, a teor shower of multicolored fla. He was standing at the origin of life, witnessing the birth and extinction of countless civilizations.
Suddenly, the illusions shattered. Standing at the end of his vision was a colossal Bronze Gate that connected heaven and earth.
In the ancient era, the Dragons were the first to master the art of the forge. They used bronze to drive the giants to the snowy wastes and ignited the first sparks of wisdom in the heart of the world. Lucia had tried to reach this gate many tis in Farum Azula, but he had always lost his way in the ntal fog. Now, bolstered by the power of the battlefield, he stood before it.
The gate was so massive that its curvature was invisible; it looked like a mottled, ancient wall extending into eternity. Lucia reached out, his palm touching the cold, rough surface. He felt an imdiate, violent resonance in his blood.
Every pure-blooded Ancient Dragon carries such a gate, a seal designed not for restriction, but for protection. The knowledge within is a vast ocean; without the vessel of a mature body or the ntal fortressing of the battlefield, the sheer weight of the inheritance would crush a young dragon's soul.
"Now," Lucia whispered, "let see what my father and mother left for ."
He braced himself, his body erupting in silver-white scales that shimred like glintstone. His muscles surged with power as he slamd his hands against the bronze. He gritted his teeth and pushed.
A world-shaking roar exploded.
Mountains seed to split; rivers seed to flow backward. At the seam of the doors, a line of light flared—a sword of brilliance that cleaved the chaotic world in two.
Lucia stepped through. He felt as though he had leaped across a thousand years of history, bypassing the tragic Forbidden War to arrive in the glorious, primordial age of the dragons.
On the other side was a world of hazy, gold-and-red light.
He stood atop a high sea of clouds. But there was no Golden Erdtree here. In the center of the earth grew a broken, gold-and-red stump, massive as a mountain. Its heart was exposed, revealing seeds of a thousand different shapes. Its leaves drifted on the wind, carrying those seeds like wings across the world.
Creatures ran across the plains below—chiras that defied modern logic. A lion with wings; a lizard with a feathered bird's tail; a bird that swam through the air like a fish.
"The early Misbegottens?" Lucia's eyes widened. These weren't the defiled slaves of the current era. They were the first children of the Forge of Life, a riot of biological diversity. Were they truly "rejected by the gods," or were they simply the original form of all kin—including humans?
A shadow swept over him. He looked up to see blurred dragon silhouettes piercing the clouds. His gaze followed them into the deep nebulae above.
There, he saw the full picture. Two Primordial Dragons composed of starlight wove through the heavens.
The one on the left was a beast of night and stone—Placidusax. His body flowed with the power of ancient mountains, and his five heads let out a domineering roar that shook the firmant.
The one on the right was a vision of perfection—Halaris. Her silver-white scales reflected the stars, and her ice-blue eyes held an infinite, motherly tenderness.
"Father... Mother?"
His voice drifted into the sea of clouds. Suddenly, the nebulae of the Dragon King and the Dragon God erupted in light!
Profound, ancient runes wove across their bodies, forming a sea of radiance. Guided by the spiritual power of the battlefield, a torrent of knowledge poured into Lucia's mind—the secrets of the primordial era, the laws of lightning and stone, and the true history of the Ring.
After an eternity, the storm in his soul subsided.
Lucia opened his eyes. He was still in the mory Battlefield, but the sky had changed. Deep in the firmant, higher than any other star, the nebulae of the Dragon King and the Dragon God now shimred, watching over his soul like eternal guardians.
