By the ti Dorian Howards arrived at the police station, Kyle Kinston’s lawyer had already completed the formalities for him.
Dorian stepped forward and said, "What happened to you, speeding and ending up at the police station?"
Kyle glanced at him, "How do you know?"
"I have soone I know at this police station, they happened to see you brought in and inford ," Dorian said, "Did sothing happen between you and Mabel?" That troubled and gloomy look on his friend’s face was sothing he rarely saw.
Kyle rubbed his temples wearily, "I want her to abort the child, but she refuses."
Dorian was startled, but he wasn’t entirely surprised; during that conversation they had at the hospital entrance last night, he had already guessed this might happen.
"Even if this child was unexpected for you, it’s still your child with her. If she truly refuses, forcing her will only harm your relationship. It’s better to let her have this baby; maybe once it’s born, you’ll naturally find it endearing," Dorian said. Especially now that he was about to beco a father, he highly anticipated the lovechild of him and Alice. He thought daily about what their child would be like once born, who it would resemble, and what its personality would be like.
"Let it be born? And let the Kinston Family’s bloodline continue like this?" Kyle said coldly, his eyes full of disgust, revolting against the curse on his lineage.
But, unless he dies, he can never escape.
Dorian fell silent, and after a mont, he spoke, "Then perhaps tell Mabel about the curse, maybe she’ll be willing to abort if she knows."
"What if I tell her and she still refuses?" Kyle asked back.
Dorian was taken aback.
Kyle said, "In the Kinston Family, how many have known about the Blood Curse and still decided to have the child? Otherwise, the family wouldn’t have continued until now."
"The Kinston Family has continued for so many years, what’s so wrong with it continuing further? Although the Blood Curse indeed... but so have found their soulmates, just like you’ve found Mabel, right? Maybe your child will find theirs too?" Dorian said.
"But how many haven’t found their soulmates?" Kyle snorted coldly, "Moreover, even if they did find one, does it guarantee survival?"
Dorian was left speechless; after all, Kyle’s parents were living examples.
"If this child is destined to inherit the Kinston Family’s Blood Curse once born, then it’s better not to be born! Besides, I’ve never believed I could love a child. If I can’t love, then it’s better not to have one," he said coldly.
Dorian sighed inwardly, fearing that the shadows of Kyle’s childhood were causing him to subconsciously reject children.
"Dorian, what should I do to make Mabel give up this child?" Kyle asked hoarsely, his voice filled with unprecedented exhaustion and anxiety.
