His thin lips pressed tightly, silent.

"Yes." he said, lowering his head, his lips gently touched her cheek, sucking at the tears on her face, "Promise , okay? Mabel, promise ..."
His actions were so entwined, his kisses were relentlessly kissing away her tears.
Yet her body couldn’t muster any reaction, her heart kept sinking... sinking... as if it were falling into a bottomless abyss.
