Alice Conley said, "Let everything take its course, I’m actually feeling a bit sad today, but not because your family didn’t co, but because..." She paused and her gaze fell on the child beside her, "I just thought of Mabel again. She was supposed to give birth in six months, and at that ti, the two children would play together, and she and I would discuss various topics on raising children. How wonderful would that be."
At this point, Alice’s eyes once again beca moist.
Dorian Howards quickly said, "Don’t cry, please don’t cry... You just gave birth, and the doctor said you need to rest well. Crying like this isn’t good for your eyes."
Alice knew she needed to avoid postpartum illness, so she tried to hold back her tears, "Is there still no news of Mabel?"
"Not at the mont," Dorian replied, "I’ve spoken with Caleb’s secretary too. If they have any updates on Mabel, they’ll notify imdiately."
Since there’s no news now, it naturally ans no progress has been made.
Alice gritted her teeth and said, "I want to go to W City again! There might... there might be so discovery." Going there seems better than just foolishly waiting for news in J City.
Dorian quickly said, "Your most important task now is to take care of yourself postpartum! I think it’s better if I go to W City again, and you stay at ho." Besides, he wasn’t too comfortable leaving Kyle Kinston.
Alice had no choice but to agree. However, looking at her husband’s expression, she couldn’t help but say, "Are you worried about Kyle Kinston again!"
Dorian sighed and said, "Believe , losing Mabel, he’s more painful than anyone."
Alice rembered the eting with Kyle in W City. Kyle’s pain was indeed evident, but Alice still couldn’t forgive Kyle, "He brought this on himself. One could only bla fate for playing its hand. If the child could have arrived later, or if Kyle could have opened up earlier, perhaps everything would have been different.
When Dorian returned to W City again, he learned from Caleb that the search was still ongoing, with 47 people still missing, and all those found so far were only bodies, considered casualties.
Though Mabel Quinn was one of those 47, she was basically presud dead, after all... it’s been nearly three weeks.
"Kyle?" Dorian asked.
"At the temporary residence," Caleb replied. Due to Kyle Kinston’s level, arrangents had been made for him in W City, and several guards were provided.
"I’ll go check on Kyle," Dorian said.
Caleb hesitated, "Elder Kinston’s situation right now... isn’t good. Try not to ntion anything about Mrs. Quinn possibly being dead to avoid triggering an extre reaction from Elder Kinston. Just... be cautious when you’re there."
