She knew that confronting him head-on now wouldn’t do any good. If she really made a fuss and things got out of hand, and ended up in the news, maybe the fact that she’s Mabel Quinn would be discovered. Then things between her and Kyle Kinston would beco even more complicated.
All she could hope for now was that he truly had forgotten her and everything they once had.
"Then I hope you can keep your word and let go by tomorrow morning." She t his gaze, her expression calm as she spoke, then stopped struggling, as if resigning herself to fate, letting his hand hold hers.
Kyle Kinston furrowed his brow slightly, holding Mabel Quinn’s hand as he opened the eting room door. Outside, his accompanying subordinates were guarding the door and they were taken aback upon seeing Kyle appear with a woman by his side.
How did this woman end up inside, and what’s more surprising is... the CEO was still holding the woman’s hand!
You know, despite the many rumors over the years about Miss Yu and the CEO, they’ve never seen the CEO hold Miss Yu’s hand!
"Pack up the stuff inside, hand these files over to the staff here." Kyle Kinston instructed, then grabbed Mabel Quinn’s bag and said, "Your stuff is all in the bag?"
"Yes." She replied, then added, "Also, there’s a pen that rolled under the sofa."
"I’ll have soone get it." Kyle Kinston said, and a subordinate imdiately ran to the sofa, quickly retrieved the pen Mabel Quinn had dropped, and handed it to her.
Kyle Kinston led Mabel Quinn out of the eting room, leaving the two subordinates still in shock.
"The CEO... is still holding that woman’s hand."
"He’s even holding her bag, my God, in the years I’ve followed the CEO, I’ve never seen him hold anyone’s bag!"
"What’s the background of that woman, why was she in the eting room?"
"Who knows, could it be the CEO rushed into the eting room just to find this woman?"
All kinds of chaotic guesses filled their minds, but none could explain it logically.

Kyle Kinston held Mabel Quinn’s hand as they walked out of the Prosecutor’s Office. Thankfully, it was the end of the day, and most people had already left. On their way out, they hardly encountered anyone, but the two soldiers standing guard at the entrance were left dumbstruck. As he got her into the car, Mabel Quinn could clearly feel the Driver’s gaze occasionally checking her out, and his speech noticeably beca sowhat stamred.
"Return to the residence." Kyle Kinston ordered.
"Y-Yes." The Driver replied, starting the car and driving out of the parking lot.
Mabel Quinn and Kyle Kinston sat side by side in the back seat, her hand still held firmly in his palm, his warmth continuously transferring to her hand.
Six years have passed; many people and things aren’t the sa anymore.
She never thought she’d et him like this, nor did she expect that he actually... didn’t recognize her.
Has he... lost his mory? So he doesn’t recognize her? But if it’s amnesia, why did he imdiately embrace her and even hold hands with her all night upon eting?
Confusion couldn’t help but erge in Mabel Quinn’s heart as she stealthily lifted her eyes to examine Kyle Kinston seated beside her.
