She slightly pursed her lips before finally uttering two words, "Alexander Quinn." After all, whether or not Kyle Kinston truly lost his mory, she had gone through all the formalities at the Prosecutor’s Office today. If Kyle had any intention of investigating her, he would find out about all these matters imdiately, they couldn’t be kept hidden.
"How do you spell it?" he asked again.
"The ’Qin’ from Emperor Qin, and ’Li’ from farewell," she replied.
"Alexander Quinn..." He murmured her na; even her na was unfamiliar to him. However, inexplicably, upon pronouncing the word "Qin," he felt a wave of sadness.
Suddenly, Mabel Quinn’s phone rang. Luckily, her bag was right next to her seat, so she easily took out the phone from it.
The call display showed it was the maid from ho, and Mabel quickly answered, hearing the maid’s voice through the phone, "Miss Quinn, when will you be coming back? Ivy has been waiting for you to return."
"Ah?" Mabel suddenly recalled she ntioned she would be back soon. She could only attribute the disruption of her plans to the matter involving Kyle Kinston.
"Aunt Wu, can you stay at my place for the night and look after Ivy? I have sothing to take care of today, and I’m afraid I can’t return ho tonight," Mabel said.
"Alright, that’s no problem," Aunt Wu replied.
Then, her daughter’s voice ca through the phone, asking, "Mommy, are you not coming ho tonight?"
"Yes, so Ivy needs to be good and listen to Aunt Wu," Mabel gently instructed her daughter over the phone, her lips unconsciously forming a soft smile. Even her voice seed to soften and llow.
After the call ended, his voice appeared in her ear again, "Who’s Ivy?"
"Huh?" She was taken aback, eting his pitch-black eyes. At that mont, she suddenly tensed up. Ivy... the child he had once abandoned. Did he really not rember her anymore? Had he forgotten everything between them?
His eyes squinted slightly, still demanding an answer from her.
"She’s my daughter," she replied with forced calmness. "Because I can’t go ho today, I asked the maid to help take care of my daughter."
Such matters were easy for him to investigate, so she decided to be honest as long as he indeed had no mory of her!
"You have a daughter?" His eyes suddenly narrowed.
"I’m already 29 years old. Is it strange to have a daughter?" she retorted.
However, his gaze was already filled with gloom. Being 29 and having a child wasn’t strange, but it did make him jealous—jealous of the man who could have a child with her.
Had he t her too late? What if he had t her when she was younger, before she loved another man—would he be the one she fell in love with?
Kyle Kinston finished his al with a cold face, while Mabel Quinn ate while speculating about how much of his mory was missing. Had he forgotten everything about her?
She couldn’t help but think that perhaps this was fortunate for her. Unfortunately, they had t again, and in a bizarre twist, they were going to spend the night hand in hand?!
