His chest, once again, felt a kind of pain, an indescribable, unfamiliar pain, as if every tear she shed was a sharp blade continuously piercing his heart.
What was going on? Why did her tears hurt him so much?
Kyle Kinston furrowed his eyebrows and said in a low voice, "Stop crying!" Her tears only left him helpless, made him hurt!
Crying? How long had it been since she last cried? Ever since she was rescued after falling into the sea, she told herself not to cry again; she had already cried all her tears out back then.
But who could have imagined that at this very mont, she would cry in front of him?
Mabel Quinn took a deep breath and said, "Yes, I shouldn’t cry. My marital status is single, but that doesn’t an I don’t have a husband, nor does it an he abandoned and our child. He loved dearly; when he found out I was pregnant, he was ecstatic. He cherished , adored , and loved our child. But just as we were about to marry, he died." That was her dream. Once, she dread that her husband would love her and their child, would understand her and know her deeply, but reality was sothing she was unwilling to recall.
Kyle Kinston’s face was still cold, his brows tightly furrowed. At this mont, her face still carried tears, yet she was smiling as she talked about everything she once had with another man.
"But to , the so-called marriage relationship is just a piece of paper. In my heart, I deed him as my husband, and I, as his wife; therefore we were husband and wife. If in the heart, there is no longer the sentint of enduring hardships together, then what does a piece of paper matter?" She continued, before realizing she was pregnant, didn’t she also consider the man in front of her as her lifelong husband?
But now, there were too many changes and separations.
His face beca even uglier. Each word she uttered made him feel unbearably painful.
"Stop saying it!" He shouted again, "If he’s already dead, then I want you to have in your heart!" This sentence escaped his lips.
And after saying it, even Kyle Kinston was stunned. Logic told him he only needed to treat her as a "redy". What he wanted was simply her company every full moon night; whose heart she held was irrelevant to him.
But why, when she ntioned her so-called husband, did it make him so uncomfortable... even filled him with a sense of crazy jealousy?
And it wasn’t only Kyle Kinston who was stunned, it was Mabel Quinn as well.
However, after being stunned for a mont, her face quickly turned scornful, "Mr. Kinston, are you joking? Or are you used to saying such things to strangers?"
"I’m not joking." He said in a deep voice, his phoenix eyes fixed tightly on her.
"Then I can seriously tell you, the man in my heart is only my husband; apart from him, there could be no one else." She said, deliberately making him misunderstand. No matter what his purpose for saying these words now was, since he no longer had those mories from before, she might as well let him misunderstand, saving them both from more entanglents.
