"This..." Lavender Foster hesitantly began, "there is such a thing, but I haven’t had a chance to look at the manuscript yet, so I’m not sure if the two manuscripts are really very similar."
"Then just log into your email, let have a look," the editor-in-chief said directly, having Lavender step forward to log into her email on the editor-in-chief’s eting laptop.
In the email, sure enough, they found Mabel Quinn’s email, dated half a month ago. The editor-in-chief opened the email and briefly skimd through the docunt. The content was similar to what Lyra Grant had given him, but Lyra’s submission was about one-fifth longer.
The editor-in-chief looked serious. At this point, everyone clearly understood that between Lyra Grant and Mabel Quinn, one of them must be falsely claiming the other’s manuscript as their own. But who exactly that person was...
"Lyra’s manuscript is more extensive," the editor-in-chief stated the fact.
Mabel Quinn said, "That’s of course because the manuscript sent to Director Fang was half a month ago. In these past two weeks, I’ve written so more. I don’t understand why my practice writing piece has been claid as her manuscript by Leader Lyra. But I think the simplest fact is for everyone to list the docunt dates. Every ti I finish a draft, I upload and save it to my email and also keep a copy in my online storage, which all have dates. That will prove when it was written. I wonder when Leader Lyra’s manuscript was dated?"
As soon as Mabel Quinn spoke, Lyra Grant’s face turned pale. The dates...dammit, Mabel’s manuscript wasn’t just on the Corporation’s computer.
"I...I handwrote the manuscript and only typed it into the computer at the end, so the date can’t be accurate," Lyra Grant said. "You deliberately stole my manuscript, then uploaded it to your email and online drive to make it look like you wrote it, trying to take my work for yourself!"
Mabel Quinn found it laughable. Wasn’t Lyra Grant talking about what happened in the past? Back then, Lyra had taken soone else’s handwritten draft, and now she was accusing others of taking her handwritten draft.
"Then where is your handwritten draft, Leader Lyra?" Mabel asked.
"It’s lost!" Lyra replied, implying, "Who knows who could have stolen it."
"So when did it go missing? How co Leader Lyra never ntioned it?" Mabel continued.
"It was lost a few days ago, but since the manuscript was already typed into the computer, I didn’t alert anyone."
"So, in other words, Leader Lyra had her handwritten draft with her until a few days ago. My initial docunt upload date was one and a half months ago, and since then, I’ve been uploading new content every one or two days. So, does that an I would have had to steal Leader Lyra’s handwritten notes every one or two days, and Leader Lyra didn’t notice at all?" Mabel said.
Lyra Grant was speechless, glaring at Mabel Quinn in frustration.
At this point, everyone at the eting wore pensive expressions. Most had already guessed who was in the right and who was in the wrong. Even Cui Mianmian, who had previously spoken up for Lyra, fell silent.
