He spoke for her, "Destruction, huh?" He chuckled softly, "If the Kinston Family really ended like this, it might not be such a bad thing after all."

She was taken aback, after all, he was a Kinston! And now, among this branch of the Kinston Family, he was the only one left. Yet, listening to him talk, it seed as if he had a deep grudge against the Kinstons.

"Why do you think that way?" she asked, puzzled.

He lowered his eyes lightly, "All along, there has been no shortage of Kinstons dying on the battlefield. So had a determination to die, so carried a kind of despair, or pursued a certain purpose... Death, to them, wasn’t actually frightening. What’s frightening is living without hope. If it were , I’d rather die heroically for this country than live without hope. In that case, perhaps my existence would have aning."

Mabel Quinn couldn’t help but feel a sense of respect for Kyle Kinston. If a person is willing to die for their country, then they are worthy of admiration.

However— "Everyone’s existence has aning, no one’s existence is aningless," Mabel said. Then, as if mockingly herself, she smiled. "Like , before, my mom and brother wanted to apologize to Lyra Grant for a house, saying I stole her draft. At that ti, I also thought my existence was aningless. But later, I kept telling myself that my existence must have aning, maybe I just haven’t discovered it yet."

Kyle Kinston raised his eyes, looking steadily at the person in front of him. Does his existence... have aning? Or is he just continuing the Kinston’s sad bloodline curse? Yet, after eting her, it seems that so things have already begun to change.

Just then, the sound of a child’s distress and a woman’s sharp curses suddenly ca from the TV screen, drawing their eyes to it.

The television drama was currently showing a young mother constantly abusing her son, who was only about 4 or 5 years old, while the child kept crying.

Mabel Quinn watched from a screenwriter’s perspective, thinking the actors perford well; the expressions and movents were on point—like the young mother’s hysteria, and the child’s helpless crying, yet also longing for his mother.

But after watching for a few monts, she noticed that Kyle Kinston beside her was watching the TV screen intently.

Kyle Kinston is... interested in this drama? Mabel thought to herself. But then she realized sothing was off about him. His expression was very severe, or even a bit frightening, his face pale, and his whole body was tense.

"What’s wrong? It’s just a drama, it’s just acting, it’s not real," she said, reaching out to hold his hand, only to find it was terribly cold.

"But what if it is real? If you really saw sothing like this happening, what would you do?" He turned to her, asking back.

"If it’s real, that would be too much. No matter what happens between adults, they shouldn’t take it out on children," Mabel shared her thoughts. "If it were , I would first protect the child and talk to the mother. If it’s possible to resolve without involving the police, that would be best. After all, if the mother is detained or sentenced, the child’s life will also be problematic—like in this drama, where the woman’s husband went to jail, and she had to raise the child alone, causing her living conditions to plumt. So the woman vents all her anger on the child."
