These past few days, there’s been a gloomy atmosphere in the scriptwriting departnt. The issue that Lyra Grant is not the original author of "Sound of the Wind" has been escalating online, with many book fans and movie fans demanding Morningstar and Lyra Grant to clarify the situation.
Right now, in the chief editor’s office, Lyra Grant looked at the chief editor in surprise, "You’re saying I temporarily don’t need to co to work? But I signed a contract, up until the completion of the full shooting of ’Sound of the Wind’."
"We’ll talk when things calm down. Since you’re not involved in the scriptwriting at the mont, whether you co to the Corporation or not really doesn’t matter much." In other words, Lyra Grant’s presence is completely unnecessary for the company’s ongoing work.
Lyra Grant’s face turned a mix of red and white, unable to speak.
Feeling cold all over, she walked out of the chief editor’s room, looked at Mabel Quinn who was working outside, and suddenly recalled what Mabel once said, that things stolen would eventually have to be returned one day.
And now, is it the ti for her to start returning?
Mabel Quinn was called into the chief editor’s office, told to deliver the latest script to Daniel Harris’s place, as the Crown Prince wanted to take a look.
"Originally, Lyra Grant was supposed to deliver it, but now that she’s involved in such a thing, and since you wrote the script, if the Crown Prince has any questions, no one would know how to answer better than you." In other words, in the eyes of the chief editor, Mabel Quinn was the most suitable candidate.
With orders from above, naturally, those below have no choice but to comply.
The Corporation even arranged a car to send Mabel Quinn to Daniel Harris’s place, saving her quite a bit of ti on the road.
The car stopped at the gates of Daniel Harris’s estate, and eventually, Mabel Quinn followed the servant who ca out to open the gate into the estate.
Although she’d heard of it before, to her, it was always a place seeming distant from her life, yet unexpectedly, today she found herself entering.
The path leading inside was flanked by French phoenix trees, with villas in European architectural style, looking elegant and imbued with a sense of ti, against the backdrop of these trees.
The servant did not lead Mabel Quinn into the villa but took her to a resting area by the side of the house and asked her to wait, then went off to inform the others.
Mabel Quinn was observing the surrounding environnt when suddenly, a large dog appeared out of nowhere, barking fiercely at her.
Mabel Quinn was startled. Seeing the dog rushing at her, she almost reflexively backed away, but in her haste, the ankle she had twisted a few days ago when she fell down the stairs twisted again, sending a pain through her, causing her to fall back onto the ground.
The big yellow dog seed about to pounce on her, and just as Mabel Quinn was wondering whether the self-defense techniques taught by Kyle Kinston would be effective on the dog, a refined voice suddenly rang out, "Big Yellow!"
Imdiately, the big yellow dog stopped but still glared at Mabel Quinn with vigilant eyes.
Gazed at by such a pair of dog eyes, Mabel Quinn was speechless, but when she looked up, a familiar face ca into view.
"It’s you?!" Mabel Quinn exclaid in surprise, not expecting to run into Harry Xenakis, soone she had run into a few tis before, here.
And when Daniel Harris saw Mabel Quinn’s face clearly, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, "Sorry, Big Yellow almost hurt you just now." He said, bending slightly to pat the head of the big yellow dog but showed no intention of helping Mabel Quinn up.
