About 20 minutes later, she heard a hurried sound of footsteps on the stairs. She looked up toward the stairs and saw his figure quickly ascending.
He walked up to her and saw her slightly red eyes, "What’s the matter?"
She gave a wry smile, "I ca back today to get my things, but my mom said she needs ten million before she will return my things to ." Maybe in the past, she would have cried because of her mother’s attitude.
But over this period, perhaps too many things had happened, or perhaps her family had let her down too many tis, and she couldn’t even cry anymore.
He raised his hand to knock on the door, and she quickly grabbed his hand, saying, "What are you..."
"Don’t worry, since your mom only wants ten million, then give her ten million," Kyle said.
"But this money, I don’t know when I can repay you, maybe I’ll never be able to." She reiterated.
Kyle looked steadily at the person in front of him, "These things, I never expected you to repay. What you think you can never repay in a lifeti is just paper to ; what I want, however, is your lifeti!"
Evelina didn’t expect that just an hour later, ten suitcases were placed in front of her, each with one million in cash, making a total of ten million in cash.
Just for giving that dead girl back her stuff, she could get so much money? To Evelina, it was like a dream, this ten million was just an offhand figure she ntioned, she didn’t expect Kyle would be so generous to pay for that dead girl.
Now, Evelina regretted only asking for ten million; if she had ntioned a higher figure, Kyle might have given it as well, given the Kinston Family was rumored to be very wealthy.
"I advise you not to think of any sches, lest you don’t even get these ten million," Kyle’s words stopped Evelina from voicing her greed.
Looking at his cold eyes, Evelina felt an inexplicable chill in her heart. This man was not soone who could be easily coerced into negotiations. Well, she just needed the money, with this money, when her son gets out of prison, she and her son could live a good life!
Thus, Evelina simply started to look through the stacks of money in the boxes.
Mabel was checking her belongings at this mont, and she didn’t care much about so clothes. What she truly cared about were the albums that held mories with her father, the various toys her father bought for her, and the videos her father fild or ones they appeared in together.
These were the most precious to her.
"That’s it," once she finished checking, Mabel said to Kyle.
Kyle had his n, who originally brought the money, now pack up Mabel’s luggage and carry it out.
Mabel looked at her mother, who was excitedly counting money and didn’t even bother to glance at her. She said to Kyle, "Let’s go." From now on, she was probably truly cutting ties with this family.
Kyle held Mabel’s hand as they went downstairs and got into the waiting car outside, and Mabel didn’t say anything along the way.
When they arrived at the Kinston Mansion, Kyle pulled her close, "I’m doing all this to make you a little happier."
