It was as if it had touched a nerve within him, making him just stare blankly at the painting before him.
This scene, perhaps it could be said, was one he had once imagined could appear, but at that age, at that ti, he had never once carried on his back that person who was so important to him, strolling leisurely through the fields.
The only ti he carried her on his back was that stormy night, when the two of them were struggling for their lives...
"Why did you choose this painting?" Daniel Harris murmured to himself, as if she always invisibly touched sothing within him.
Yet he couldn’t explain where this feeling ca from.

On the large LCD screen, a school video was playing. In the video, a tall, handso man was pulling a woman out of a eting room. Although the video only captured a few seconds of their profiles and mostly showed their backs for two minutes, Francine Howards could still recognize that the man was Kyle Kinston.
"Why are you watching this video again?" Dorian Howards walked up to his cousin and glanced at the video, asking.
This video had surfaced from J City, and upon seeing it, he was quite shocked to find that Kyle had held a woman’s hand while leaving. Although there was no dialogue in the video, anyone could see that Kyle and the woman seed to share an unusual relationship.
"Dorian, what do you think is the relationship between Kyle and that woman?" Francine asked.
mbers of the Howards Family are quite good-looking, Francine’s features were exquisite, and her wavy hair gave off an air of allure. Her brow carried the haughty pride typical of a wealthy lady, yet Dorian knew that his cousin’s pride would bow before Kyle Kinston.

Just like his cousin was obsessed with Kyle, he himself was once obsessed with... Dorian lightly shook his head, mocking himself that even after three years, he still hadn’t forgotten soone, which really made a mockery of his usual carefree facade.
"Kyle has never liked others asking about his business," Dorian said, "but no matter what his relationship with that woman is, you should know that between you and Kyle..."
"It’s impossible, right?" Francine let out a cold laugh, raised her hand to pause the two-and-a-half-minute-long endlessly replayed video, and the image froze on Kyle Kinston’s profile. "If it’s impossible between him and , do you think it’s possible with this woman? I don’t believe in destiny, Dorian. Whatever I want, I will get. Kyle is no exception. I will definitely bring him back to my side, just like before."
"Aren’t you afraid you’ll end up getting hurt?" Dorian raised an eyebrow.
"The one getting hurt won’t be ," Francine disdainfully glanced at the screen showing Mabel Quinn being led by Kyle Kinston, then added, "Oh, I heard you’re going to J City?"
"The Corporation has a project in J City, and I’ll likely be there for so ti. It’s also a good chance to see Kyle," Dorian said, as he too was curious about why Kyle would be holding that woman’s hand.
