"Mm." He nodded, then urged her to eat the cotton candy.

After she had taken a big bite, he nervously asked, "Is it good?"

"It’s good." She smiled and said.

Only then did he reveal a smile, as if a child receiving praise. He also started eating the cotton candy and said while eating, "Sister, even if one day we get separated and you can’t find , I will definitely find you. Because to , sister is a very, very important person!"

So important that she’s irreplaceable.

The stage manager stood in front of Daniel Harris, reporting on Mabel Quinn’s request for leave today. He didn’t understand why the Crown Prince would be interested in whether a little scriptwriter was at work or not. Could it be that the Crown Prince really intended for that small scriptwriter to play the second female lead? But the Crown Prince only ntioned it briefly on the set yesterday and didn’t bring it up again, nor did he have Lillian Scott removed from the second female lead role.

So, most people in the crew thought it was probably just a casual remark from the Crown Prince.

But now... "Scriptwriter Qin said she has a bit of a cold today and is afraid of spreading it to the crew, so she’s taking a day off. She said she’ll see if the symptoms improve by tomorrow, and if not, she might need to continue taking leave." The stage manager reported while sneaking a look at Daniel Harris’s expression. "Shall I give her a call to check if Scriptwriter Qin’s cold is getting better?"

"No need." Daniel Harris frowned slightly and then said to the stage manager, "You can leave now."

"Yes." The stage manager respectfully exited the room. Daniel Harris’s expression was uncertain. The unpleasant parting yesterday, and his special visit to the crew today, for reasons he can’t explain. For an imprudent scriptwriter like her, he could have easily sent her packing. Yet he kept recalling the ease of chatting with her, how earnestly she said she’d write a show to make him a star, and how she jumped into the pool without a second thought to save the big yellow dog.

In front of her, he didn’t need to armor himself, didn’t need to guess her motivations for getting close to him.

Perhaps he had been engrossed in intrigue for too long, so when simplicity like that appeared, it seed exceptionally precious.

The door to the lounge opened again, and Grace Yowell walked in.

"Daniel, why are you here?" Grace asked naturally, sitting beside him.

"I just happened to be passing by, so I stopped in to have a look." He said, raising a hand to rub the area around his eye sockets. Oddly enough, his mood was sowhat foul, and even his eyes felt a bit painful.

Mabel Quinn... was she really sick? Or was she deliberately avoiding him? Knowing that the latter possibility was almost nonexistent, she could not possibly have known he would be back today.

"Are your eyes hurting again? Let rub them for you." Grace said.

"Alright." Daniel Harris said.

Daniel Harris rested his hand on Grace Yowell’s thigh, and she gently massaged the area around his eyes.

Even though it was the sa act of relieving his eye pain, Daniel Harris couldn’t help but think of when he first t Mabel Quinn and how she relieved his eye pain.

Sotis, people are peculiar like that. It seed inconsequential before, yet without realizing it, he had rembered a person so vividly.
