"Long ti no see," Catherine Willis said with a smile.
"It really has been a while. Are you... uh, still working as Dorian Howards’ secretary?" Alice Conley laughed awkwardly.
Catherine nodded, "Are you here to see Director Howards?"
"Sort of," Alice said. Now that she was here, especially after seeing Catherine, she felt inexplicably a bit timid, "But since it’s been so long since we last chatted, why don’t we catch up first?" She tried to ease her nervousness with so conversation.
"Aren’t you worried about wasting ti?" Catherine asked.
"Not at all, I’ve got plenty of ti." After all, she had taken the whole afternoon off. Alice looked Catherine up and down, sighed, and said, "You’ve maintained yourself so well, you look even better now. If you ever get tired of being a secretary and want to switch to the entertainnt industry, I’ll write a script for you for free, and even be your fan club’s number one mber..."
Unfortunately, she hadn’t finished her praise when a clear cough ca from behind her. Catherine’s gaze shifted to behind Alice, and she called out, "Director Howards."
Well, even without turning around, Alice knew Dorian Howards was standing behind her now.
She turned around to see Dorian with a dark face, his eyes glaring at her gloomily.
Who could have upset this person again? Alice was still wondering when Dorian grabbed her arm and pulled her straight into his office.
"Hey, Catherine, we’ll chat later!" Alice didn’t forget to throw a line to Catherine as she was being dragged away.
Thus, Dorian’s face turned even darker.
Bam!
The CEO’s office door slamd shut.
Catherine smiled; three years had passed, yet Alice seed unchanged, while Director Howards... appeared more animated in front of Alice. At least, even if he was angry, he didn’t just have an icy expression anymore.
She was sowhat looking forward to seeing Director Howards like three years ago, always jumping in frustration because of Alice. Perhaps such a Director Howards looked more like a normal person.
At this mont, in the CEO’s office, Alice looked at Dorian’s dark face, "You... you let go first, let’s talk nicely, I didn’t offend you, did I?"
"..." Dorian almost ground his teeth to pieces. This woman had offended him in countless ways, yet she still had the audacity to say she hadn’t, "Did you really need to look at my secretary with that drooling expression?" he said irritably.
"Oh, was it that obvious?" Alice was surprised, "But Sister Catherine is quite handso. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have thought you two had a thing back then." Reflecting on the past, Alice had a bit of a look of not feeling too good about recalling it.
It was fine if she didn’t ntion it, but bringing it up made Dorian’s face even darker. Back then, she had seen him together with Catherine and imdiately assud he was GAY. Even after he strongly denied it and pointed out that Catherine was a woman, she looked regretful, as if him actually being gay would be the best-case scenario.
Then she frequently sought him out, only to end up trailing behind Amara Willis, making him almost think she wanted sothing with Catherine. But it turned out she was candidly saying if Catherine were a man, she’d definitely marry her.
This woman, heartless three years ago, is still the sa now. But the problem is, he’s hopelessly infatuated with her, unable to forget her even after being dumped for three years.
