It was a large yellow dog, with one eye having an issue, while the other intact eye looked at Mabel Quinn with a hint of aloofness. With such obvious features, Mabel naturally recognized the dog at a glance—it was clearly the yellow dog she had seen many tis in Han Yuan.
But the problem was, why was the yellow dog here?!
Mabel Quinn stepped out of the glass door, and the yellow dog ca closer to her side.
It continued wagging its tail, showing a face that seed eager to stick by Mabel Quinn’s side.
Alice Conley clicked her tongue in wonder, "Mabel, this yellow dog seems to be particularly friendly to you. It looks quite clean, not like a stray dog. Did it get separated from its owner?"
"This is Daniel Harris’s dog." Mabel Quinn said.
Alice Conley was dumbfounded, unable to associate the ordinary, one-eyed mutt before her with Daniel Harris. Soone like Daniel, a prestigious young master, seed more likely to own an expensive breed.
"But judging by its appearance, it seems to have truly gotten lost." Mabel Quinn said, glancing around without seeing Daniel Harris or anyone else looking for the yellow dog.
After thinking for a mont, Mabel Quinn said to Alice Conley, "Alice, I’m sorry. How about I accompany you shopping another day? Today, I should take the yellow dog back to Han Yuan first."
"No problem, I’ll go with you." Alice Conley said.
And so the two of them with the dog took a cab straight to Han Yuan. It was obvious the people at Han Yuan were anxiously looking for the yellow dog, and upon seeing Mabel Quinn bringing it back, they were overjoyed.
"Thank you, Miss Quinn." The butler of Han Yuan expressed his gratitude, naturally recognizing Mabel Quinn, as she had visited Han Yuan multiple tis before. Previously, only Grace Yowell was granted permission by the young master to enter and leave Han Yuan.
From the butler, Mabel Quinn also learned that Daniel Harris had been hospitalized the day before for an eye issue, leading to the yellow dog’s escapade today.
Mabel Quinn intended to leave after returning the yellow dog, but the dog bit on her pants hem, refusing to let her go, leaving her with no choice but to follow the butler with Alice Conley to the living room, intending to calm the yellow dog before leaving.
In the living room, the butler instructed a servant to brew tea. Mabel Quinn and Alice Conley sat down, and the yellow dog lay at Mabel’s feet, once again wearing its usual proud deanor.
Seeing the yellow dog like this, Mabel Quinn found herself caught between laughter and tears.
"Hey, why are there so many drawings here?" Alice Conley suddenly remarked, noticing several spread-out sheets of paper on one side of the coffee table, filled with pencil sketches.
The butler quickly apologized, "I’m sorry, I’ll tidy up these drawings right away." Saying so, he began to gather the sheets.
However, after glancing at the spread-out drawings, Mabel Quinn suddenly froze and swiftly picked up the drawings from the coffee table to examine them. Perhaps her expression was so serious that both Alice Conley and the butler noticed her out-of-the-ordinary deanor.
The more Mabel Quinn looked, the more shocked she beca. The scenes in these drawings...they were unmistakably those of Drumbeat Village! They were scenes from her mory of Drumbeat Village, but why were they here?
"These drawings... who made them, was it Daniel Harris... did Mr. Harris draw them?" Mabel Quinn asked. To her, the only person she could think of who would be drawing in Han Yuan and leaving them on the coffee table was Daniel Harris.
