Mabel Quinn roughly explained the situation to Alice Conley, "That’s how it is. If you think about it positively, at least my initial wish ca true—his eyes can see now. After so many years, we were friends at the beginning; who can say we won’t be friends again in the future?"
Alice Conley comforted, "It’s good that you’re seeing it positively. Daniel Harris doesn’t know a good thing when he sees it. When he finally understands the truth, let him regret it himself. As for Grace Yowell, watching her act usually, I’ve never seen her act so well. If I saw her, I’d definitely slap her twice."
Listening to her friend’s indignant words, Mabel Quinn felt warm inside, "Alice, thank you."
"Thank for what? I haven’t been of any help to you." Alice Conley replied.
But even after ending the online conversation with Mabel Quinn, Alice Conley still felt unsettled. She recalled joking back in the dormitory that if Mabel were to et the little boy she knew from childhood again, and if his eyes were healed, it would be great for them to start a romance—it’d be a case of childhood sweethearts and enduring love.
Who would have thought that the little boy Mabel had kept in her heart didn’t recognize her and instead believed another woman who didn’t even bother with him back then. It felt like a mockery. But luckily, Mabel now has Kyle Kinston.
Will Daniel Harris find out the truth soday? Alice Conley was quite looking forward to the expression on Daniel Harris’s face when he finally understood everything.
"Alice, take this proposal and deliver it to Director Howards." Brother Zhan from the Studio handed a file to Alice Conley.
"?" Alice Conley blinked.
"Director Howards wants you to go." Brother Zhan also looked frustrated. He actually wanted to deliver it himself and chat with Director Howards about the future developnt of the Studio and upcoming scripts and film productions.
But unfortunately, Director Howards nad Alice Conley to deliver it.
And so, one person reluctantly assigned the task, and another person reluctantly accepted it.
Alice Conley took the file and went to Howards Group’s building; it didn’t take much effort for her to et Dorian Howards.
"I say, can’t these docunts be delivered without ’naming’ ? Now everyone in the Studio looks at strangely, as if I’m having an affair with you." In the CEO’s office, Alice Conley handed the file to Dorian Howards with a huff.
Dorian Howards opened the file bag, took out the docunts inside, and said slowly, "You are indeed involved with , so your colleagues aren’t entirely wrong."
Alice Conley staggered, almost falling over, "How am I involved with you?" She was quite innocent these days!
"How are you not? I am still your ex-boyfriend. If you tell your colleagues about our relationship, I guarantee they’ll look at you even more strangely." He said.
She was exasperated and corrected him, "Not ex-boyfriend, he’s my ex-ex-boyfriend." There’s yet another in between.
His brow furrowed slightly, "Does that guy even count? How long did you date him? To what extent? Holding hands? Hugging? Kissing?"
His expression was stern, as if failing to satisfy this inquiry would lead to dire consequences for her.
