Grace Yowell nervously bit her red lips, almost instinctively hiding behind Daniel Harris. Kyle Kinston’s gaze, as if seeing right through her, filled her with fear.
"Daniel..." She softly grasped Daniel Harris’s hand, as if seeking protection.
Daniel turned to look at Grace, who was half-hidden behind him, his gaze deepening. After a mont, he turned back to Kyle Kinston, "Yes, this matter is Mabel Quinn’s fault. I hope Mabel can apologize to Grace. Otherwise, this won’t be easily resolved."
Kyle sneered coldly, "Want an apology? Then have this woman take off her whole arm before we discuss it!"
Daniel’s face darkened, "Mr. Kinston, this is not Falling City, not a place where you can control everything with a single hand!"
Kyle’s eyes flashed with a fierce light, "Then feel free to try, in J City, whether my hand can control everything or not!"
The two n confronted each other, the pressure emanating from them was intimidating.
"Kyle, I want to go ho." Mabel Quinn’s voice broke the standoff.
Kyle looked down. In an instant, the pressure around him dissipated, "Alright, though there are reporters outside, stay close to for now." As Kyle spoke, he took off his coat and carefully draped it over Mabel’s head, covering her with it.
Kyle held Mabel’s hand and addressed Dorian Howards, "Dorian..."
"I understand, don’t worry. I will have our lawyer handle the situation here!" Dorian responded.
Just as Mabel was about to leave, she suddenly turned around to look at Daniel, speaking in a calm voice, "If I could, I truly wish I had only ever known Isaac Zimrman." And not Daniel...
Just Isaac, the Isaac in her mory, who, despite his blindness, believed in her. The person in front of her, though his eyes could see, was no longer that Isaac.
Daniel’s body suddenly froze, his face turning ashen, as if sothing precious was slipping away from him, as if what he treasured most would no longer exist!
After saying this, Mabel said nothing more and left the police station with Kyle.
Dorian had already sent a lawyer to understand the situation with the police. Alice Conley looked at Daniel and suddenly said, "Daniel Harris, one day you’ll regret it. You’ll realize how terribly wrong you are. I can’t wait to see you on that day of regret!"
Daniel staggered, staring intently at Alice, "What do you an by that?"
Alice gave a mocking smile, "Nothing much, just feeling bad for Mabel." With that, she turned and ran to Dorian’s side.
Grace glares hatefully at Alice’s back, then quickly comforts Daniel, "Daniel, don’t mind her words. She’s just ill-intentioned, trying to sow discord."
But Daniel closed his eyes gently, rubbing his temple with his fingers, "Grace, tell , today’s incident, did it really happen as you said, did Mabel Quinn intentionally burn your arm with coffee?"
Grace’s heart tightened, and supporting Daniel’s uninjured arm, she stiffened.
