Mabel Quinn, unsure of how long ti had passed, noticed that her supervisor, Lavender Foster, had already left, but Lilith insisted on staying. Therefore, Mabel would ask Lilith for the ti every once in a while.
But as ti slowly slipped away, Mabel beca more and more anxious. Nearly two hours had passed, and it was almost 8 o’clock, yet she still couldn’t see anything at this mont.
Today was Kyle’s birthday, and he was still waiting for her. No matter what, she had to hurry over. But now... Mabel was agitated and restless, while Daniel Harris sat on a chair not far away, constantly watching Mabel.
Watching her brows, her eyes, her nose, her lips... The originally blank image of a young girl in his mind seed to gradually be filled in.

He bent down, his eye level with hers. Her eyes looked straight at his, her pupils even reflecting his image, yet she still wasn’t looking at him.
As if sensing his breath drawing near, she instinctively leaned back, wanting to pull away the distance between them. His hands suddenly pressed down on her shoulders, preventing her from moving an inch.
"Is it because you’re in a hurry to see Kyle Kinston? Did you promise to et him today?" he asked, with a hint of jealousy he hadn’t even noticed in his voice.
"This is my personal business," Mabel replied.
"Is Kyle Kinston more important than your eyesight?" He inexplicably felt a kind of irritation.
Mabel took a deep breath, her long lashes trembling slightly, "Yes, he is very important to , far more important than my eyesight!"
Daniel Harris’s face instantly turned extrely pale, as if sothing was gnawing at his heart, causing him pain.
