"Um... how about you eat by yourself?" Mabel Quinn felt that if she kept feeding like this, her fingers would almost feel no longer hers.
"I like the feeling of you feeding ," he said, his phoenix eyes rising to look at her.
Hmm... from her angle, she could also see his chest, partly concealed by his pajamas, coupled with his slightly lazy yet sowhat coquettish expression. Mabel felt she might have a nosebleed!
Fortunately, at this mont, her phone’s ssage alert rang. She quickly shoved the chips in her hand toward his chest and picked up her phone to see a ssage from Alice Conley, which included a set of New Year’s greetings and a photo of a TV screen airing the Spring Festival Gala. Clearly, Alice was also watching the gala.
Mabel smiled and sent back a similar set of New Year greetings, also took a picture of the TV screen, indicating that they had the sa thoughts, all watching the Spring Festival Gala.
Then, Mabel received ssages from Lilith, so forr colleagues at Morningstar, and colleagues at her current Studio, all sending New Year’s blessings. Mabel replied to each one.
Mabel also took the initiative to send New Year’s ssages to her forr editor-in-chief and supervisor at Morningstar, professors who were nice to her during college, and so friends.
When she saw her uncle Edward Quinn’s phone number in the contacts, she hesitated for a bit and then sent New Year’s greetings. Since she didn’t have Granny Taylor’s contact, she included a few words for Granny Taylor in the New Year’s greeting.
After all, in her family, she could sense that Granny Taylor genuinely cared for her, and her uncle, although she was sowhat afraid of him as a child, she could feel his kindness in recent interactions, even if his appearance sotis seed stern and cold.
What surprised Mabel was that she received a text from Edward Quinn shortly thereafter, saying, "Happy New Year. Your Granny Taylor and I are both well, thank you."
Such a simple sentence ward Mabel’s heart with a gush of warmth.
Besides, today was New Year’s Eve, and her uncle, as the leader in the Quinn Family, naturally had many things to handle and plenty of social engagents. Yet, he replied to her so promptly.
When she put down her phone and looked up, she saw Kyle Kinston also browsing his phone and occasionally typing. Mabel leaned in to have a look and imdiately felt overwheld.
His phone was flooded with New Year’s greetings from many people, all quite significant figures, even a few from lead-e-rs whom she had seen introduced by the hosts at the Spring Festival Gala’s opening not long ago.
Mabel’s eyes widened at the ssages on Kyle’s phone, feeling like her eyeballs might pop out.
"Why the face? Is there sothing wrong with these ssages from people?" Perhaps her expression was too peculiar, causing Kyle to ask.
"No... nothing..." After a long pause, Mabel finally exhaled with difficulty, realizing that, indeed, having spent so much ti with him, she sotis forgot he was such an important figure, and naturally, the people in his social and friend circle were of that caliber. It was entirely normal for those lead-e-rs to send him New Year’s greetings.
