In any case, the discussion between the two major groups got more and more intense, and Alice Conley was getting a headache listening to it. Just then, the aunt in charge of the kitchen shouted that they were running out of soy sauce and soone needed to go buy a bottle. Without hesitation, Alice promptly volunteered, shouting, "I’ll go buy it, I’ll go!" And then she dashed out the door.
Once she reached downstairs, Alice finally took a long breath. If the next few days of New Year visits would involve discussions about her finding a partner like this, she might as well pretend to be sick and stay at ho.
On the streets on the first day of the New Year, it was a bit desolate. Many people from out of town had gone ho for the New Year, so there were noticeably fewer people in the city center of J City.
However, so of the convenience stores around were still open, so Alice walked towards one of them.
A young couple walked towards her, the woman holding the man’s arm. They looked very close, as if the man said sothing that made the woman laugh, and then the man playfully touched the tip of her nose with his finger.
What a loving couple, Alice couldn’t help but think. A sense of loneliness washed over her uncontrollably. Suddenly, she felt an overwhelming sense of solitude.
Even though today she visited her grandparents with so many relatives around, lively and bustling, why did this loneliness still persist?
She even wondered if in this lifeti she would never again walk intimately with a man like that couple just now, or do such affectionate gestures?
In the future, would she ever find a boyfriend again? Would she ever form a family with soone? Or would she slowly beco the ’leftover woman’ in her relatives’ conversations, remaining unmarried and single all the way into old age?!
So many thoughts filled Alice Conley’s mind until the sudden "Alice" reverberated in her ears.
Her footsteps ca to an abrupt halt, and she lifted her head as if in disbelief.
Imdiately, her eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at the figure just a few steps away from her.
Tall and slender, wearing a dark gray coat with a deep blue plaid scarf around his neck, short black hair, a chiseled face, and that warm smile on his face—who else could it be but Dorian Howards?
The surroundings were cold and desolate, with almost no one passing by.
And there he stood, smiling, and looking at her like that.
In an instant, Alice only felt her nose sting, and her eyes beca moist. She couldn’t explain the feeling, only that the original sense of loneliness seed to shatter and disappear with his appearance.
It turned out she really longed to see him so much!
It turned out her place in his heart was so important!
Her body moved forward uncontrollably, and she rushed into his arms, tightly wrapping her arms around his waist, hugging him very tightly.
His scent instantly filled her nose, enveloping her whole body, yet making her feel comfortable.

So many wishes allowed her to indulge in this mont of emotion.
And Dorian Howards looked a bit dazed at the person in his arms. She had just suddenly rushed into his embrace, hugging him like this, making him feel as if he had won an unexpected lottery jackpot.
