Instead, he clawed his way to the top, keeping Falling City firmly in the Kinston Family’s grip.
No, perhaps it should be said that Falling City was in Kyle Kinston’s hands, because he was the Kinston Family now.
"For you, helping with this is just a matter of saying a word. As long as you say it, then Katie’s boyfriend finding another job as a journalist wouldn’t be a difficult matter, and he could regain his footing," Mabel Quinn said. "But Katie once helped . Seeing her like this now, I want to help her," Mabel Quinn said. Back in high school, Katie was willing to speak up for her, willing to believe in her; that feeling of getting help when you are most in need, she couldn’t forget. Moreover, the feeling that her fate wasn’t in her own hands—she was experiencing it now, hence her sympathy for Katie and her boyfriend.
"Do you really want to help your friend?" he asked.
She nodded earnestly.
His dark phoenix eyes fixed on her, "To grant your wish, indeed, is just a matter of speaking a word for , but don’t you think you should consider why I should forgive soone who has offended ?"
Mabel Quinn was montarily speechless, not bold enough to think he would agree just because she asked.
"Then what would it take for you to forgive?" She asked cautiously, then guessed, "How about having Katie and her boyfriend apologize in person?" As for gifts, for soone like Kyle Kinston who lacks nothing, it was obviously not a feasible solution.
"I don’t lack people apologizing to ," Kyle Kinston said flatly, "As for what it would take to grant your wish, why don’t you think carefully, every matter in this world cos at a cost."
Mabel Quinn was dumbfounded, was he asking her to guess his thoughts?!

Mabel Quinn was never adept at figuring out people’s thoughts, let alone guess Kyle Kinston’s. With such a difficult challenge laid before her, she felt at a loss as to where to start.
In the office, Lyra Grant saw her and naturally wore a sour expression. The incident at the restaurant yesterday had taken her from initial pride to later embarrassnt. After Mabel Quinn left the restaurant, that Manager Zhang had used an extrely rude attitude to ask her to leave.
This made Lyra Grant hate Mabel Quinn to the core, and also confused her as to why Manager Zhang’s attitude took a complete 180-degree turn.
