"Alright, alright, I won’t speak for him, okay!" Dorian Howards said, feeling overwheld. Truly, won and petty people are difficult to deal with, and Alice Conley happened to embody both. "How is Mabel?"
"It seems she has cald down a lot, but she always keeps things bottled up inside. I’m afraid that if she doesn’t let it out, she’ll feel worse and worse, so I’ve decided to spend more ti with her in the coming days and try to help her relax," Alice said.
"That’s a good idea," Dorian replied.
"I plan to find a cheaper place near the studio with Mabel tomorrow. It’s not ideal for her to keep staying at the tavern, and she has no ho to go back to..." Alice said, sighing at the thought of Mabel Quinn’s family. Ever since Mabel and her mother had completely broken off, she practically had no ho in J City, and now, with her breakup with Kyle Kinston, it was even worse...
"How about I just allocate her an apartnt complex to stay in?" Dorian suggested.
"With Mabel’s personality, she definitely won’t accept that. But... I’ll bring it up to her tomorrow, and if she’s willing, that would be the best," Alice said.
As they continued chatting, Dorian looked at the ti; it was already late, and today’s events had dragged on long enough.
"I’ll take you ho," he said.
She nodded, but on the way back, she kept her head down, looking like she had sothing on her mind.
The car arrived at the entrance to her apartnt complex. She unbuckled her seatbelt and got out of the car, only to be suddenly pulled back by a force. The next mont, she was enveloped in a warm embrace.
"Alice!" Dorian tightly held Alice Conley.
Alice was stunned for a while before she reacted. "Hey, don’t hug like this; we’re at the entrance of the complex! People will see!" she exclaid hastily, trying to break free from his embrace.
However, he held on tightly, making it impossible for her to escape.
She was so anxious that her face turned red. Dear God, though today was the second day of the new year and there were few people on the road, the security guards at the complex were still on duty, and people coming in and out could very well be her neighbors!
"Alice, let there be no misunderstandings between us, okay?" Dorian murmured softly, with his head buried in her shoulder.
Her struggle stopped abruptly.
"Today, when I saw Kyle, it was like looking at myself three years ago," Dorian continued to murmur, "Back then, I thought breaking up didn’t an anything to . I thought even if I liked a little girl like you, so what? It wouldn’t take long for to forget you. I thought it would be easy, but it was actually very, very hard. Even after three years, I couldn’t do it."
Alice was stunned; this was the first ti he had been so honest about his feelings in front of her.
His voice continued, "Or perhaps I should say, I never really wanted to forget that relationship, to forget you. It’s as if once I forget you, I would lose a part of myself. I don’t know if Kyle will regret the breakup in the future, like I did, but I don’t want misunderstandings like this between and the person I love. If we’re truly not ant to be because our love is too shallow to tolerate each other, then I’ll accept it! But if misunderstandings alone are what separate us, then I absolutely will not accept it!"
