Her heart involuntarily began to race, she... she simply didn’t have the capability to save him, did she!

His fingers lingered on her lips, gently touching them, making her lips feel even more scorching.
"Can you let go of Katie’s boyfriend?" she took the opportunity to steer the conversation back to her initial goal.
His thick, dark eyelashes fluttered slightly, and two words slowly escaped his thin lips, "Kiss ."

Mabel Quinn’s jaw dropped, staring blankly at the handso face so close to hers, seriously doubting if she had misheard.
"Kiss , and I will grant your wish, let that journalist go," he said, his slender fingers leaving her lips, as if giving her a choice.
Mabel Quinn never expected Kyle Kinston to make such a request, to kiss him... kiss this seemingly unattainable man. Even if they had once been intimate, she still couldn’t imagine what kissing him would be like.

"What else?" he retorted.

But on second thought, if all she had to do was kiss him in exchange for Katie and her boyfriend to be free from Kyle Kinston’s influence, then it seed worthwhile no matter how she calculated it.
Taking a deep breath, Mabel Quinn kept preparing herself ntally. After all, it wasn’t her first ti kissing Kyle Kinston. Besides, from another perspective, maybe kissing Kyle Kinston was a gain for her, considering how many people out there would love to kiss this CEO.
Mabel Quinn thought very optimistically to herself and suddenly gathered courage. She cupped Kyle Kinston’s face, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed his lips.
The touch of lips was softer than she imagined.
She closed her eyes, feeling as if only a few seconds had passed, yet also feeling like it had been an eternity... Just as her lips were about to part from his, suddenly his hand gripped the back of her head, and his lips pressed heavily on hers again.
Mabel Quinn opened her eyes in a bit of a panic, only to see his long eyelashes.
At such a close distance, she could only see his closed eyes, feeling his long and domineering kiss. His kiss seed to be taking everything from her, making her heart race in confusion.
No one knew how long it lasted, but as the kiss ended, his eyelids slowly opened, his dark eyes reflecting her face, "Mabel Quinn, don’t forget what you said today. When the day cos that you have the ability to save , you won’t easily let die."
She stiffly nodded, but felt that what he said sounded like a fantasy. Soone as ordinary as her, what ability would she ever have to save him?
