"You—" Gemma was furious. She had always been pampered and indulged, with those young socialites treating her with utmost respect and constantly seeking her favor. She never encountered anyone like Alice Conley.
"Also, you don’t need to give money this ti. I never planned on being with your son. We broke up years ago, and I have no intention of getting back together now. So rest assured, my misfortune will not beco your son’s misfortune!" After finishing these words in one breath, Alice Conley turned and left the private room.
Gemma was left alone, gripping the teacup in anger. She had to retract her previous impression; this girl was completely different from three years ago.

The next day, when Alice Conley arrived at work, Mabel Quinn noticed her looking fatigued and asked, "You didn’t sleep well last night?"
"Yeah, I couldn’t sleep last night. I don’t know why I just couldn’t fall asleep," Alice Conley sighed. Actually, her mind was preoccupied with thoughts about Dorian Howards and his mother, and the more she thought about it, the more she couldn’t sleep.

"Okay." Alice Conley nodded and yawned again. She couldn’t sleep last night, and now that she wanted to sleep, she couldn’t.
At noon, while Alice Conley was taking a nap on her desk, a figure hurriedly rushed into the Studio.
Mabel Quinn was startled to see the person who burst in; it was Dorian Howards. His expression didn’t look good, filled with worry, anxiety, and a certain fear.
As soon as Dorian Howards saw Mabel Quinn, he quickly asked, "Where’s Alice? Is she okay today? Has she ntioned , or anything about ?"
Mabel Quinn shook her head and then pointed to Alice Conley, who was napping at her desk, "She’s taking a nap. She hasn’t ntioned anything about you today."
Dorian Howards pressed his lips together, his expression complex, and then pulled a chair to sit right beside Alice Conley’s seat, watching her sleep.
Everyone else in the Studio naturally recognized Director Howards. Those who had been in the Studio longer knew about the close relationship between Director Howards and Alice Conley. Seeing this scene unfold in person, they couldn’t help but marvel internally.
Director Howards seed to be silently waiting for Alice Conley to wake up. He could have easily called out to her but chose not to disturb her rest, preferring to quietly keep watch.
Indigo Quigley, often at odds with Alice Conley, almost ground her teeth in frustration. How could soone like Alice Conley get so lucky to encounter a handso, wealthy, and powerful man like Dorian Howards, while she had not?
At this mont, Indigo Quigley’s jealousy of Alice Conley was growing wildly.
Ti ticked by, second by second, in the office. It was very quiet, as Dorian Howards’ presence seed to hush the place, making even casual conversation absent.
Alice Conley’s nap turned out to be quite restful. However, when she opened her eyes and saw the person in front of her, she was stunned, "Dorian Howards?" She blinked, almost believing she was still dreaming and the dream hadn’t ended.
