"So, your conclusion is, because you don’t love , you’re planning to kick away now?" His face was full of gloom, and in his eyes, there was an indescribable pain and anger.
Alice Conley’s body trembled slightly, but under his gaze, she still nodded.
His teeth were grinding, and his fingers almost seed like they were about to crush her shoulder. The sharp pain on her shoulder ca in waves.
But strangely, she could still endure that pain because compared to the physical pain, the pain in her heart was much more intense.
Her expression remained calm as she looked at him, because the more furious he was at the mont, the more it represented that he could truly sever ties with her.
From now on, his life should be complete, and her life would have nothing more to do with him.
"Alice Conley, you’re good, you’re really good!" he gritted through his teeth, "This is the first ti I’ve been played like this by a woman."
"Well, it’s truly my honor then." She faintly smiled.
He suddenly raised his hand, about to slap her.
She almost instinctively closed her eyes, waiting for the impending pain.
But contrary to her expectations, that pain never descended upon her.
When she opened her eyes, she only saw his raised hand still paused in mid-air, but it had already turned from an open palm to a clenched fist, tightly held, trembling, as if using all his strength to restrain himself.
Finally, his hand dropped down, and the excited anger on his face transford into an icy coldness, "Alice Conley, you really are a heartless girl, I never thought that in my life, I would be defeated by you, not just once, but twice. Since you disdain my feelings so much, fine, from today on, we’ll go our separate ways from now on, I will have no more feelings for you."
The cold words floated through the air.
Her heart trembled for a mont, then was overwheld by unstoppable pain. Finally, she got what she wished for, finally, she and he would sever all ties completely.
But why did she feel like crying?
"That’s good, I’m relieved too." She said, turning and walking out of the tavern room.
She walked forward step by step, telling herself not to look back, telling herself not to cry, telling herself not to break down here, otherwise, everything would be in vain.
Until she walked out of the tavern, hailed a taxi, returned ho, greeted her parents calmly, and went back to her room, she finally cried out loud.
From now on, that man would be completely gone from her life. Once, it took her three years to calm down, to muster the courage to walk out of that relationship.
And now, how many years would it take this ti? Can she really move on from this relationship? Or would she be trapped in it for a lifeti?
So painful, so bitter...
He wouldn’t know, there was once a child between them, but she didn’t have the ability to save that child. When she found out, that little life had already completely left her; he also wouldn’t know that from now on, she could never have her own children again, could never bear him a son or daughter, could never give him a warm and happy family.
