Mabel Quinn suddenly laughed, but her laughter was tinged with bitterness. She and he had gone in a circle, as if returning to the beginning, to the scene when he and she signed that so-called contract.

When she ca out of the bathroom, he was still standing there, looking at his injured right hand.
"Did you bandage this for ?" he asked.
She was silent, only walking towards the door.
"My previous offer stands at any ti. You can think about it!" he suddenly said.
She paused, turned around to look at that tall figure, the man she once loved deeply, "No need to consider. From the day we broke up, you and I have had no relations. Even if we et again, I will only see you as a stranger."
After saying this, she walked out of the room, leaving Kyle Kinston alone in the room, clutching his injured right hand tightly. His nails, pressing against the bandage, touched the wounded area in his palm, causing a wave of pain.

When Mabel Quinn returned to the Corporation, her colleagues were looking at her with sowhat curious eyes. So colleagues with a penchant for gossip were already trying to figure out what Dorian Howards had wanted with her yesterday and why she had not been back to work for a whole day.
"Oh, it’s nothing. He has a friend who’s interested in screenwriting, so he called over to ask about it and have recomnd so suitable books." Mabel Quinn fabricated a reason.
"Is that so? But if soone wanted to ask, wouldn’t Brother Kuan have more experience?" a colleague said.
"Brother Kuan has a lot on his plate and is quite busy, probably Director Howards thought I had more ti, so he asked ," Mabel Quinn replied.
Even though the colleagues found the reason far-fetched, since she said it, they could only accept it.
While she could lie to others, she didn’t want to deceive Alice Conley. Privately, she said, "Alice, yesterday I went to see Dorian Howards only because of Kyle Kinston."
Alice Conley replied, "Mabel, you don’t need to explain anything to . My issues with Dorian Howards are completely over."
Mabel Quinn sighed, "Is there really no chance to make it up?" She thought of the tis she had seen Alice and Dorian together, so sweet and only felt regretful.
Alice Conley shook her head, "This is the outco I’ve finally managed to secure myself, so there’s no need to reconcile." Then she asked, "What about you, what’s going on with Kyle Kinston?"
"Nothing, he had a fever yesterday, and I was asked by Dorian Howards to take care of him for a day. But this morning, we’ve cleared everything up," Mabel Quinn said.
