Mabel Quinn returned to the Apartnt Complex, looking at her palm where the cold sweat had now dried.
Actually, in the movie theater, she was really worried that Daniel Harris would kiss her. At that mont, she knew she was pretending to be calm, but in truth, she was far from calm.
However, she hadn’t lied to Daniel about anything. She genuinely wanted to focus on work and not think about romance, nor love Kyle Kinston anymore.
Not every romance will have a result; so are destined to only beco mories.
Mabel prepared a simple dinner for herself. After dinner, she tidied up the room a bit, then took a trash bag downstairs to throw out the garbage.
It was only when she stepped outside her building, she saw a silhouette erging from the shadows.
The moonlight fell on that person, illuminating his handso face so clearly it took her breath away. Mabel stared dazedly at the face, unable to snap back to reality for a mont.
This is... Kyle Kinston?!
Yet the question was, why was he here? Especially the way he was looking at her now made her heart tremble, as if she had been targeted by a dangerous beast, ready to be torn to shreds at any mont.
Instinctively, she took a step back.
But the next mont, he suddenly strode forward, rushing toward her and grabbing her wrist, pulling her forward.
Mabel stumbled almost clumsily to keep up with his pace and to avoid falling. But as a result, the trash bag in her hand dropped to the ground.
He held her wrist so tightly that she couldn’t break free.
"Kyle Kinston, you... let go, I need to throw out the trash!" she said, still wanting to pick up that bag of garbage.
But it was like he didn’t hear her at all. He just pulled her straight to his car, opened the door, and pushed her inside.
She struggled to get out of the car, but every ti she tried to get up, he would shove her back in, as if he was bent on wearing her out until she was exhausted.
Just as Mabel was about to climb out again, Kyle pressed down on her shoulder, "Mabel Quinn, do you want to knock you out and stuff you in the car?" His icy voice was more oppressive than usual, as if repressing so anger.
She bit her lip lightly, knowing that with his character, he would definitely do what he said!
She didn’t try to get up again, and he suddenly bent down, his body leaning in close to her. She was startled, then realized he was fastening her seatbelt.
Once the seatbelt was secure, Kyle’s body moved away, and he returned to the driver’s seat, which made Mabel feel a slight sense of relief.
Kyle started the car, which sped out of the complex, racing swiftly down the road.
This speed... so fast!
Mabel couldn’t help but say, "You’re driving too fast, slow down so."
But he seed to ignore her entirely, not reducing the car’s speed.
