Mabel Quinn watched in shock as Kyle Kinston stumbled to his knees, body curling up, much like those patients in TV dramas experiencing sudden dical episodes.
An ailnt? She shuddered, recalling the hidden illness he once ntioned. Although he had been vague at the ti, seeing his current state, it seed he truly had so hidden ailnt.
"Is sothing happening to you? Do you need dication?" she hurriedly asked. Despite having been in a confrontation with Kyle just monts ago, this concerned a human life, and she didn’t know how severe his condition was. If it was like those heart ailnts, she couldn’t just take the chance to run away.
Mabel’s hand fumbled against the wall, finding the light switch and pressing it. Instantly, soft light flooded the entire room, allowing Mabel to clearly see Kyle Kinston’s current state for the first ti.
His state was far more severe than she imagined. His face, frighteningly pale, lips pressed tightly, teeth clenching with a grinding sound. His temples, neck, and the backs of his hands all displayed bulging veins, and his handso face twisted with an unmistakable expression of pain.
This version of Kyle reminded her of him that night in the underground parking lot, where he had shown a similar expression, though the anguish on his face now seed to have intensified several tis over.
Mabel stepped closer to Kyle’s side, wanting to assess his condition.
But just as her hand was about to touch him, he suddenly barked, "Don’t touch !"
