Alice Conley shook her head and said, "Marriage is just a matter between the two of us. In the future, it’s only the two of us who will spend our lives together. So, it doesn’t matter whether the wedding is big or small. As long as you’re willing to stand by my side no matter what happens, that’s enough."
"Absolutely," Dorian Howards promised.
Alice smiled, then took the initiative to hook Dorian’s chin and kissed him forcefully. How could she not love a man like this?
The two kissed until they were out of breath. Suddenly, Dorian said, "That Daxton, he’s not as good-looking as , is he?"
Alice was stunned. Seriously? Was this guy still being jealous for no reason? But it was quite cute, so she grinned and said, "Right, right, he’s not as handso as you."
So, Mr. Dorian was satisfied and kissed Alice once again.
Just as they were getting entwined in their kiss, the bedroom door was suddenly pushed open. "I say, Alice, did you tell Mabel today that we’re inviting her and Kyle over tomorrow..." Alice’s mom’s voice suddenly stopped.
In the room, all three of them wore expressions of embarrassnt. Finally, Alice was the first to speak, "Mom, I told Mabel. We’re inviting them for dinner at our place tomorrow night."
"Good, good... as long as you’ve ntioned it..." Alice’s mom awkwardly smiled and exited the bedroom. Before leaving the room, she couldn’t help but add, "Dorian, Alice is still in the early to mid-stages of pregnancy, so you two... uh, need to be careful. If there are things you can avoid, it’s best to avoid them."
Even though Alice’s mom said it tactfully, how could Alice and Dorian not understand? So, after she left the room, the two looked at each other. After a while, Alice finally said, "Maybe we should start locking the door from now on."

The Conley Family originally planned to book a table at a restaurant for the dinner. But then they thought, for soone like Kyle Kinston, he’s probably already tired of restaurant food. Besides, he usually eats at high-end restaurants. So they decided to host at ho, with Alice’s mom cooking so of her specialty dishes, which might be more aningful.
The dinner that evening was quite sumptuous, comparable to a New Year’s Eve dinner.
Alice’s mom had been busy in the kitchen since the afternoon and was still busy when Mabel Quinn and Kyle Kinston arrived.
With only six people eating, they prepared more than a dozen dishes, showing the Conley Family’s sincerity.
"Co, co, try these. I don’t know if these dishes suit your taste," Alice’s mom warmly invited.
"Auntie, you’re too kind," Mabel said.
"If you say that, then you’re being polite to auntie. Try so quickly; so dishes aren’t as nice cold," Alice’s mom replied.
Kyle picked up a piece of egg yolk sparerib with chopsticks, took a bite, and said, "Not bad, quite crispy."
Upon hearing this, Alice’s mom, the main chef, finally breathed a sigh of relief. She was worried that her cooking wouldn’t suit Kyle’s taste.
anwhile, Dorian was busy serving food to Alice, almost feeding her directly. Alice couldn’t help but say, "Alright, I can do it myself. You’re making feel like I’m disabled."
