Kyle Kinston’s eyes flickered; is it really just like this? He doubted it would be so simple.
Unconsciously, the cigarette had burned out, even though neither of them had taken many drags.
"The cigarette is almost done, let’s go inside," Kyle said, extinguishing the cigarette butt, and walked into the house first.
Mr. Conley felt a wave of unease, sensing that the other party probably didn’t believe his words. But would the other party investigate? If they really look into anything, then he... and his family... can they remain as they are now?
At this mont, his heart was incredibly flustered.
If so things could be buried forever, perhaps it wouldn’t be a bad thing.
When Mabel Quinn and Kyle Kinston returned to Mabel’s apartnt complex, she noticed his slightly flushed cheeks. "You drank a bit too much tonight," she said.
"Quite a lot, but not to the point of being drunk," he replied.
"You rarely smoke, yet tonight you went outside to smoke with Alice’s father. Didn’t you say he was afraid of you before?" Mabel asked, puzzled.
"Precisely because he’s afraid of , that’s why we had to go outside for a smoke together," Kyle said.
Mabel couldn’t help but laugh; is this how n connect emotionally? "I feel although Alice’s family is small, it’s really warm. Sitting together for a al felt nice," she said.
"Yes, it was nice. Alice Conley’s family... it truly is enviable," Kyle murmured.
Mabel felt the sa way; she envied the atmosphere in Alice’s family, perhaps because it was sothing she and Kyle lacked.
"In the future, our ho will be like this," she said to him. "There will be , and our... well, adopted children, and we’ll be a happy and harmonious family."
His expression seed to recognize sothing as he lowered his gaze, his long lashes almost covering all of his eyes. "Seeing Alice pregnant, do you feel envious?"
"Ah?" She paused, then realized the implication of his words. "I do feel envious, but not lost," she answered truthfully. "If we really can’t have our own children, then we’ll give this love to our adopted kids. In foreign countries, many adopt unrelated orphans, and those families are equally beautiful and warm."
He slowly raised his eyes to look at her. "Mabel, even if there are no children, I will make sure you beco a happy woman."
"Mm, I believe you," she said with a smile, trusting that he would bring her happiness!

Because of Alice Conley’s pregnancy, most of the writing work for the new microfilm fell to Mabel Quinn. Any attempt by Alice to take on more was declined by Mabel.
Fortunately, Ken Brother assigned two people to assist Mabel, so her workload eased quite a bit. However, due to the start of filming, Mabel began to frequently visit the shooting site because any needed script modifications had to be made promptly.
Around 4 PM, Mabel sent a text to Kyle Kinston saying she needed to work late and wouldn’t be having dinner with him.
After sending the ssage, Mabel looked up and saw the production manager smiling at her with a teasing expression. "Sending a text to your boyfriend?"
"Uh, is it that obvious?" Mabel asked.
