Now reading: Chapter 9 New Emerging Contracts from Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife, a Romance novel by Cat Senna Grass.

"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid, Miss Quinn, you can't leave just yet," Caleb said with a friendly smile, making his baby-like face even more approachable.

"What do you an?"

"Well, Elder Kinston is quite satisfied with Miss Quinn, and he hopes to maintain a certain level of relationship with you," Caleb explained, taking out a docunt. "This is a contract drafted by Elder Kinston. Miss Quinn can take a look at it, and if there are any terms you'd like to add, feel free to suggest them."

What? A contract?! Mabel Quinn was dumbfounded as she looked at the contract docunt Caleb handed her. It was full of references to 'Party A' and 'Party B'. The most glaring term was: "Party A must remain loyal to Party B after the contract cos into effect and never betray Party B. All of Party B's requests must be fully t."

Alright, just this one term made her not want to read any further. What kind of crap was this!

It was practically a slave contract. Was Kyle Kinston trying to buy her? "I can't possibly sign this contract. Please tell Kyle Kinston that I never wanted to beco soone's possession."

"Well, Miss Quinn, you can tell Elder Kinston yourself when you see him. In any case, for now, Miss Quinn, you cannot leave," Caleb smiled and said, then turned and left, leaving Mabel Quinn alone in the room.

Mabel Quinn felt helpless. She wasn't stupid. Since they said that, it was clear that she couldn't escape!

Staring at the contract in her hands, she felt a headache coming on. If she signed it, she'd have to be at Kinston's beck and call, loyal to him. Of course, the contract also promised substantial material compensation from Kyle Kinston, amounts that others might never earn in several lifetis. But the problem was, she wasn't ready to sell her life just yet.

Glancing at the clause that stated "Party A must remain loyal to Party B after the contract cos into effect and never betray Party B. All of Party B's requests must be fully t," she grew angry. She picked up the pen and quickly added a line at the end before putting it down.

But after writing that line, Mabel Quinn felt deflated, slumping over the desk. Did she really think that by writing sothing, Kyle Kinston would agree?

He was the ruler of Falling City, which was also known as Sin City. For Kyle Kinston to achieve his status in such a city spoke volus about his capabilities.

But why did Kyle Kinston set his sights on her? Was it really because of what happened in the underground parking lot... Biting her lip, Mabel Quinn fell into deep thought.

——————

Mabel Quinn's confusion was mirrored by Caleb, who also couldn't comprehend the situation. In his view, Mabel Quinn was pretty but not stunningly so. To say that Kyle Kinston was bewitched by her beauty seed impossible to Caleb. In Falling City, what kind of beauties hadn't Kyle Kinston seen? Besides, in all these years, Caleb had never seen his boss "forcibly keep" a woman.

"How is she?" As soon as Kyle Kinston got out of the car in front of the mansion, he asked Caleb, who had co to greet him.

The "she" he referred to was obviously Mabel Quinn.

"Miss Quinn is quite resistant to the contract. She doesn't seem to want to sign it," Caleb reported.
