Returning to this place where she had lived for quite so ti, Mabel Quinn felt sowhat in a trance, and as she stood at the door of the Kinston Family residence, her steps involuntarily paused at the entrance.
Inexplicably, her mind conjured the image of herself leaving with a suitcase, as if she had been abandoned by the world. She didn’t even know where to go. To her, this world no longer had a ho for her.
