In recent days, following Kyle Kinston, Caleb could clearly feel the depressed aura emanating from Elder Kinston. Of course, he could sowhat guess that this aura should have sothing to do with Mabel Quinn.
Originally, he thought Elder Kinston’s interest in Mabel Quinn was just a passing fascination. But now it seems that’s not the case. Even after that day, Elder Kinston asked him to retrieve all relevant information about Soren.
At this mont, a lively cultural performance organized by the J City governnt was taking place. The stage was alive with singing and dancing, yet Caleb glanced at Elder Kinston sitting beside him, and still, his face showed indifference, as if the performances couldn’t pique his interest at all.
However, Caleb was aware that the female dancers on the stage today were eager to make a mark in front of Elder Kinston, hoping to catch his eye.
Ever since arriving in J City, countless won had surreptitiously co to him trying to gain information. If not for his strong will, Elder Kinston might not even know how many tis he could have been betrayed by him.
Just as Caleb was lost in thought, he saw another team that had just finished their performance walking down the stage, passing through the aisle between the stage and the first row.
Given Kyle Kinston’s status, his seat was naturally in the first row.
Suddenly, a woman lost her balance and fell directly in Kyle Kinston’s direction. However, it was Caleb, sitting beside him, who caught her.
"Are you alright?" Caleb asked, easily seeing through the woman’s intentions. Wasn’t she just trying to create an accident, hoping to leave an impression on Elder Kinston, and, with any luck, get close to him?
"I’m fine, thank you." The woman smiled, yet there was a hint of disappointnt in her smile. After all, she had hoped Kyle Kinston would catch her.
The other female dancers from her team paused and asked, "Evelyn, are you okay?"
"Is it serious, did you twist your foot?"
Evelyn quickly reassured them that she was fine, just hadn’t steadied herself for a mont, then she shyly smiled at Kyle Kinston, "Sorry for interrupting your show, Mr. Kinston."
As she spoke, Evelyn seed to try to stand firm, but sohow stumbled again, this ti falling directly toward Kyle Kinston’s front.
Kyle Kinston’s eyes flickered slightly; if he wished to avoid her, he naturally could, but his body didn’t move.
The next mont, Evelyn, as she wished, fell into Kyle Kinston’s embrace.
A gasp sounded from around them.
Evelyn’s face was full of shyness, but she couldn’t suppress her excitent inside. She had succeeded! Previously, even though many won harbored intentions and tried to create opportunities, they couldn’t even touch the hem of Mr. Kinston’s garnt.
"I’m... I’m sorry..." she said, blushing deeply, though sowhat reluctant to leave the chest so quickly.
Beside them, Caleb felt a bit sympathetic toward Evelyn, as Elder Kinston detested won who acted rashly, using pretexts to get close. He couldn’t imagine how Evelyn would be dealt with by Elder Kinston.
But then Caleb witnessed sothing unexpected: Kyle Kinston actually wrapped his arms around the woman’s shoulders, pulling her into his embrace.
Imdiately, everyone who saw this scene was stunned, but before they could react, they saw Kyle Kinston push Evelyn away.
