Mabel Quinn finished cleaning the kitchen and saw Edward Quinn lost in thought. She asked, "Uncle, what’s wrong?"
"Ah, it’s nothing..." Edward Quinn replied, "I just rembered there’s sothing I need to take care of. I won’t be staying for dinner. I’ll be going now."

"I accidentally broke a bowl earlier and cut my finger while picking up the pieces." She explained.
His thin lips tightened, "Don’t get hurt so easily again, does it still hurt?"
"It’s fine, it doesn’t hurt anymore." She said, seeing his worried expression, as if he was the one injured. She knew that it was because he cared about her.
If it weren’t for Alice’s situation, she would probably be happily preparing for the wedding with him now.
"You sit down, I’ll bring out the dishes." Kyle Kinston said, then went into the kitchen himself, bringing out the dishes Mabel Quinn had prepared one by one.
During dinner, Kyle Kinston said, "If there’s anything left to pack here, I’ll help you sort it out. I’ll take so of your things to the mansion, and this weekend, make so ti to go back with to Falling City. We only took our wedding photos in J City, we haven’t taken them in Falling City yet. This ti, we’ll get that part done, and the wedding dresses you chose before have been made and are kept in Falling City. You can try them on when we go, see if any alterations are needed."
"Oh, okay." She responded, realizing once again that they were actually getting married soon.
"Not happy?" he asked, looking at her.
"No," she forced a smile, "Being able to marry you and beco your wife, I’m very happy, really." Indeed, she was willing to marry him. If it hadn’t been for that unexpected breakup before, she and he should have been married already.
But her heart still kept circling around Alice, around the matters of the Conley Family, which were a heavy burden for her.
On Friday night, Mabel Quinn and Kyle Kinston took a flight to Falling City.
