The Frost Elves’ mobilization was even faster than Cyber expected.

He had thought the players’ mobilization was already quick enough, but it turned out, the Frost Elves were even more formidable in their actions.

After Aurora and the high-ranking Frost Elves decided to lead their people back, the entire Elf City swiftly got into motion.

In less than a day, the entire Frost Tribe, with a population of up to 250,000, had all prepared for departure from top to bottom.

Under the tall city gates, an imnse procession of elves, either carrying their belongings or pushing carts, ford long lines stretching beyond what the eye could see.

"Have they really prepared for departure so quickly?"

Following the lengthy line, Cyber was quite surprised.

"Of course, it’s not like there’s anything worth taking. We’re heading to the beautiful material world to enjoy life, so why bring along all this junk?"

Next to Cyber, the voice of Temple Leader Gando echoed.

After the eting, he and Cyber were responsible for organizing the things in the temple. Through their casual conversation, they gradually beca more familiar with each other, vaguely forming a friendship across generations.

This seemingly reticent Old Elf could actually be quite talkative once he opened up.

He seed to be in a good mood, humming an ancient tune and holding a water pouch in his hand.

"Weapons, food, clothing, tents for traveling, and so morable artworks and books on inherited knowledge, that’s about it. The rest... there’s no need to bring them."

As Gando spoke, he took a gulp from the water pouch.

As if tasting the best drink in the world, Gando showed an expression of enjoynt, his eyes narrowing to slits between the lumps on his skin, and he smiled at Cyber:

"Lord Cyber, the taste of this Elf Flower Tea you gave is truly impressive. It’s the first ti I’ve had such a delicious drink in my long life..."

"Drink,"

Cyber added with a smile.

"Ah, yes, drink! So this is what the books describe as sweetness! It’s truly a taste that brings happiness! It beats the juice of the Abyss Worms by a mile! When I return to the main material world, I must indulge! Have a cup every day! No, two cups!"

Gando said longingly.

Cyber laughed heartily, patting him on the shoulder:

"Mr. Gando, two cups? You’ll have as much as you want when the ti cos! It’s a common drink in our Elf Forest."

Gando’s eyes lit up, and he said:

"That sounds wonderful."

After speaking, he smacked his lips, unable to resist taking another sip from the water pouch, then checked its weight with a slight frown:

"No, I can’t drink any more, or I’ll finish it before we even set off."

Seeing his cautious deanor, Cyber waved his hand:

"Don’t worry, I have plenty more! I stocked up on a lot of delicious things for this trip to the Abyss Plane."

But Gando shook his head:

"Hmm... no, it takes over two months just to reach Sorrow Cliff, and if we encounter a Black Tide, we’ll need to set up defenses, which might slow us down even more..."

Saying this, he patted Cyber on the shoulder:

"So Lord Cyber, you should keep it for yourself. Your frail physique can’t compare to us and endure the food of this world. I heard from Aister that last ti you ate her family’s jerky, you had a stomach ache, right?"

Cyber could only smile wryly. He turned back to glower at the young Elf Girl Aister following behind him, who mischievously stuck out her tongue and made a face at him.

"You little rascal!"

Cyber pretended to reach out to rub the girl’s head, but she dodged like a leaping fawn.

She darted behind Gando, clutching the old elf’s hem, pouting:

"Grandpa Gando! Mr. Cyber is picking on !"

"Hahaha..."

Gando laughed heartily.

"Alright, alright, let chat with Lord Cyber for a while. Aister, go play with your friends."

The old elf said.

"Okay."

The Elf Girl nodded obediently, then scampered off toward the slowly moving elf queue, soon joining so similarly-aged elves in playful frolics.

They were all positioned in the very center of the procession, in the safest location, a zone designated for young elves with relatively minor afflictions.

Watching the youngsters’ laughing silhouettes, Gando hiccuped, his gaze growing ever warr.

"When we return to the Segis World, Aister and the others will be free, able to grow up happily and joyfully."

He sighed with a touch of emotion.

Listening to Gando’s words, Cyber couldn’t help but feel a sense of wistfulness swell within him.

He glanced at the long line and sighed:

"Everything will get better."

Gando nodded in agreent, then fell into silence.

After a mont, he sighed softly:

"Lord Cyber."

"Hmm?"

"I must apologize to you. I didn’t recognize you when you first ca to the city."

Cyber looked at the old elf in surprise and said:

"Mr. Gando, you’re being too formal. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn’t be able to recognize myself either. After all, there’s no halo of faith around ."

Listening to Cyber, Gando smiled faintly, then sighed:

"In the end, my faith isn’t devout enough. But... now I think I understand why there is no halo of faith around you."

"Why?"
