However, the Blazing Angel Raphael seed unwilling to fight Kai Leici.
After shooting an arrow, it seed he was greatly exhausted, or rather, he appeared to be inherently lacking in power...
That was the aftereffect of using the Divine Descent Technique.
In other words, after his surprise attack, he was at his limit.
He put away his arrow and transford into a beam of light, fleeing into the distance.
"Still want to escape?"
Kai Leici was furious.
He intended to chase after him, but was stopped by a gentle sigh:
"Let it go, Kai Leici, returning to the Elf Forest is paramount, we have many clansn to protect... The Angel Clan are embodints of light elents; when they flee, you can’t catch up with them."
It was Diana.
She had awakened; the light dispersed, and the blindfold on her forehead was removed, revealing a pair of eyes as magnificent as blue crystals.
With the restoration of the Divine Power of life, her body had returned to normal.
Kai Leici’s actions paused slightly.
He looked at the direction in which the Blazing Angel fled, then at the thousands of clansn on the sea, his expression struggling for a mont, before he begrudgingly snorted and put away his Divine Sword.
Diana was right.
Although this was a good opportunity to chase down the enemy, there were still thousands of clansn here. If the enemy had companions, splitting actions on his side would be dangerous.
And even if the enemy was alone, if the Blazing Angel was really cornered, it wasn’t impossible for him to co back, using his speed to take the clansn on the sea as hostages...
Destruction is much easier than protection; although there were four demigods on his side, if the enemy fought to the death, it was still likely to pose a threat to the clansn.
This is the sea, not the land; just a little tsunami could trouble the demigods.
"Lucky him."
Kai Leici said with so resentnt.
Suppressing his discontent, he and several demigods guided the clansn into the Gate of Reversal.
...
Dozens of kiloters away.
The Blazing Angel Raphael, wounded by Kai Leici, flew in a farther direction.
His complexion didn’t look good, his expression unprecedentedly grave:
"Lord God speculated correctly, Diana was indeed on Dream Island..."
"To gain Diana’s recognition, it seems... Life Goddess Eve, really is the reborn World Tree."
"Pity, couldn’t kill Diana."
"Diana knows too many secrets, her return might cause trouble for Lord God."
"The Divine Descent Technique can’t be used for now, and I’ve expended too much power, unable to communicate with Lord God, I must quickly return to the Church headquarters on Segis Continent to report these ssages through the idol..."
The Blazing Angel Raphael quickly made up his mind, changed direction, and flew toward Segis Continent.
However, just as he changed direction, the seawater below suddenly exploded.
Accompanied by a roar, a giant fist surged up, hitting him in the face.
The Blazing Angel Raphael only felt an overwhelmingly exaggerated force, a returning long-lost pain on his face, in an instant, his brain buzzed, directly dumbfounded by this sudden attack.
His body flew out like a broken sack, under the massive force of the punch, Raphael flew three kiloters away, plumting into the sea.
And when he stumbled back up, one side of his face was deford by the blow.
His divine power was in turmoil, the Blazing Angel Raphael, with half of his face swollen, was both shocked and angry:
"Who is it?"
And in the next mont, another punch ca from behind, hitting his back.
Accompanied by a loud bang, Raphael was again hamred away, spitting out platinum Divine Blood, and once again falling into the sea.
When he stumbled back into the sky again, he finally saw who attacked him.
It was a tall Titan.
He had red eyes, his features fierce and angry, his body ablaze with Divine Power, muscles bulging, aura boiling.
"It’s you?"
Raphael was stunned.
He knew the opponent.
The Titan Giant Imhettel, the ancient deity’s watchdog on Dream Island, liked to run to the continent every few years, bringing back unfaithful ones, especially fond of bringing back elves...
But, why did the opponent attack him?
Raphael looked bewildered, unsure of how he had offended the other party.
But soon, the Titan Giant roared again and swung at him.
"Imhettel? Are you insane?!"
Blazing Angel Raphael shouted in anger.
Normally, this Titan Giant, whose divine soul was injured and reportedly not very bright, would not be a match for him.
But now, after exhausting his faith power and most of his divine power by using the Divine Descent Technique and then being injured by a sword in a sneak attack on the Elves, he was in a poor state.
As if that wasn’t enough, this mindless fellow even burned his divine power and looked ready to fight him to the death!
Is he an idiot?
Doesn’t he know that continuing to burn divine power while his divine soul is damaged could cause him to fall in rank or even perish?!
Raphael was baffled, but Imhettel’s actions didn’t stop.
The Titan Giant was already imnsely strong, and after burning divine power, his strength reached a staggering level, each punch capable of severely injuring soone who had just reached the Demigod rank.
The rain-like punches landed on Raphael, and the unlucky Blazing Angel couldn’t help but cry out in pain.
Punch after punch...
Platinum-colored divine blood fell like rain, mixed with feathers.
They were from Raphael’s wings.
Under Imhettel’s fists, the unfortunate Blazing Angel soon lost the power to resist.
However, the Titan Giant did not stop, hoisting the Angel up like a chicken and leaping onto a small island.
Imhettel then slamd Raphael to the ground, mounted him, and continued to pound...
Punch after punch, one punch after another.
Initially, the Blazing Angel would let out cries of pain and struggle constantly, but gradually, it was reduced to re groans.
The rain-like punches fell on Raphael, and platinum-colored divine blood pooled into streams beneath him.
Imhettel gasped for breath, his expression fierce, shouting:
"Die... die..."
"Dare to hurt him... die!"
Until the anxious voice of the Fire Giant Surt ca from the distance:
"Imhettel... what are you doing? Stop this instant!"
Hearing Surt’s voice, a flash of clarity appeared in Imhettel’s reddened eyes.
He gasped for breath and slowly ceased his actions.
The burning divine power on his body gradually dissipated, and the Titan Giant lowered his fists.
Soon, the Fire Giant Surt also descended onto the island.
Seeing the Blazing Angel Raphael, barely recognizable with shredded wings, shattered armor, a concave chest, bloodied flesh, and unconscious, Surt’s mouth twitched violently.
He rubbed his temples, pointed at the Titan Giant, who was still glaring at the half-dead Blazing Angel, and reproached:
"What are you doing? He is the Eternal Lord’s envoy in the Segis World, the Blazing Angel Raphael!"
"Eternal... Lord..."
Upon hearing Surt’s words, Imhettel suddenly clenched his fists.
Surt sighed, pacing back and forth on the island like an ant in a hot pan:
"This is trouble..."
"Raphael is an Angel of Divine Descent who can perform the Divine Descent Technique! His temperant, like the Eternal Lord, demands vengeance for every slight, and by doing this, you will surely incur his revenge! Haven’t you considered the consequences!?"
However, just as he finished yelling, a "crack" sound was heard from behind him.
Surt turned around, his pupils slightly contracting.
Only to see the Titan Giant’s hands releasing the Blazing Angel’s neck, now twisted to an unimaginable degree.
Obviously broken.
At the sa ti, the Angel’s divine soul was crushed by his grip.
That was a unique ability of the Titan Giant, capable of obliterating a divine soul, even bypassing True God of Faith’s protection.
The only condition was that his hands must directly touch the opponent.
"Now... there is no revenge."
Releasing his hands, Imhettel said faintly.
Surt:...
